Robtec Ceiling Bike Hoist

Accurately described in many reviews as middling quality. Time consuming part was deciding to put 2x4 on garage ceiling. But once I got that up after finding the studs it was easly sailing. Only beef with instructions is picture of locking pulley. Ultimately I think I put the rope through correctly and it works. It would have been nice if there was a close up of it from more than one angle. Make sure you con't make my mistake and cut the rope when it is hanging from the ceiling. Rope then too short to let down. (pretty dumb, huh) Fortunately they give enough rope that the remained was easily long enough to use instead. Except for having to take the too short rope down and run the longer end through. It wasn't clear that they gave you a cleat with it, so I had bought a smaller one, but they do and it is large. They also do give you screws to mount the pieces to the ceiling. They are two or two and 1/2 inch long. The rope is adequate but I can see having to replace it with similar braided rope after not to long with a lot of up and down. The funniest thing is that this was shipped signature required. Once some Bose headphones for several hundred came that way. otherwise never before. This was $11! Good thing I was home.

This worked well, after we had to do some deciphering of the instructions. They are brief and unclear. We bought four and have only put up 1. We intend to put up the others but the first one took over an hour!

when you raise or lower ( I am lifting a kayak) it does not lift or lower evenly the end near the pulley that you pull against raises and lowers first, other wise very nice system, locks in place nicely.

It does the job but a little difficult to raise the bike but my bike is pretty heavy

Had two of these for our bikes before we moved. Left them there, they work so well that I got two more for our new home. They could also be used to lift other things with a little bit of ingenuity.

This product was advertised as new, but it was not. It was clearly an item that had been previously purchased and returned. The rope included (which is critical to the product functioning) was cut and the majority of it was missing so the product doesn't work. Unfortunately, I didn't try to install it until 3 months after I purchased it so I discovered this issue too late to return the item.

We bought these to hang up 5 bikes in the garage rafters. They work perfectly, and they are easy to go up and down.. My kids love getting their bikes down and putting them away! Would recommend!

this really freed up space in my garage. great product!
