If it's only an inch or so larger than chest measurement it will be difficult, but a looser fit may be doable. I've only made view A. One option if you are a bit more experienced is to add room in the back waist (it will cause the back pattern to curve because you don't want to add at the neck. Just make a cupple of slashes in the pattern from waist to about 1/2 inch from neck. Then just fan out to desired amount added). When sewing the skirt on you add elastic to the waist seam so it gathers in. The back will pillow a bit, but that's the trade off. **Q: Does this pattern run big or true to size?** A: As with any pattern, go with the child’s actual measurements. My granddaughter usually wears a 5/6 but on patterns she is a size 3. I learned the hard way. Patterns seem to always run big. **Q: I haven’t sewn in 20+ years is this pattern an easy one to start back up on? I would be making it for my bonus daughter.** A: I am an experienced seamstress and have been sewing dresses for my grand children for over 40 years. I made this little dress for my great granddaughter for Easter this year. It is an easy dress to make and, yes, it is a good place to start if you haven't sewn in several years. Happy sewing!
