My 4 month old kitten needed some major surgery that would leave a Plastic brace with sutures on the outside of his body. He will have this for 4 weeks. He was given a soft cone from the vet. Within hours of getting home the cone had him screaming. He hated it and was moving in ways that could injure him. I put a baby onsie on him and immediately looked for something just like this. As you can imagine a 4 month kitten who isn't allowed to climb, jump and play was even restricted walking because of the stupid cone. The moment I put this on him he immediately perked up. I felt comfortable to have him walk around on his own terms with little worry he would hurt himself. He can use the litterbox with no issues and he sleeps very comfortably. I bought the small because he's 4 months forgetting the detail that he is a maine coon and this won't last too long on him so I have already purchased a medium. I cannot praise enough how much better this has made me feel about his recovery for a long period of time. I recommend this to anyone who has a cat with a tummy wound or even a back wound.

my cat had emergency surgery and ended up needing to wear a cone for 3 weeks. like most animals, Sylvester hated the cone so my friend suggested we try a onesie, and he loved it! it made a huge improvement to his comfort while he healed. Sylvester is about 11 lbs and i believe i ordered the largest size and it fit him perfect. the material is sooo soft and stretchy so it was very easy to get on, and with the strip of velcro on the back he was not able to get it off. i ordered 2 so i could swap them out while one was in the wash and they held up great with many washes and dries.

They are quite nice and are a great idea as they are much more comfortable than a cone. But if your cat is a fighter, it will work day and night to shred it. We had to order 2 over the 6 week recovery period because our 5-pound tigress hated it :-)

Our 7-month-old female kitten wore this for 10 days after being spayed and didn't get any mess on it once. It does leave enough open area for them to use the litter box. It was easy to get on but she ripped one of the arm seams within five minutes, it didn't render it useless though. I did end up taking the rope out of the collar and replacing it with elastic which seemed much more comfortable for her. I also cut the other arm seam and the velcro halfway down the back to make an opening for more stretch. It took her a day to move around somewhat normally but it does limit movement a bit, which is good for recovery. It came out fine in the wash and we'd be able to use it again even with all of the customization.

The tissus was nice, but the size was too small, so I returned it.
