Carhartt Men's Rain Defender Relaxed Fit Lightweight Jacket

I have a few Carhartt products and they all are my go-to items for certain weather/work conditions. I bought this light weight rain jacket to take on a trip to Seattle, and it was perfect. Easy on and easy off, and light enough to easily shake the rain off before entering the house. And the hood fits unusually well. I may have lucked out and found the perfect form factor for my head, but without even tuning it, it securely stays on my head without blocking my peripheral vision when I turn. I love Carhartt products and look forward to discovering a need to buy something else that they make. I liked it so much that my wife bought a slightly different model, and she loves hers too. Kudos to Carhartt!

Very warm for a lightweight jacket. I work outside and have been using this jacket daily for the past 6 weeks. It definitely repels water, kept me warm and dry the one day it did rain. I've worn it in temps that have ranged from 25-55 degrees and stayed warm with a thick or thin thermal top base layer. True to size, I wear a large. By far my favorite work jacket, also great outside of work.

My first impression was highly positive given the brand. Which I was even more impressed of the quality and how well it worked. Lightweight , pockets, comfortable, and in the cold it holds its own. Two thumbs up.

The brand is driving the price up a little for sure but still an ok build here. Held up in the rain, thin but a little warmer than a non insulated rain jacket.

It’s definitely going to keep you dry but not warm and ultimately that’s its intended purpose. April 11, 7 degrees, Ontario, cold and raining hard. Stayed dry all morning. Had A T-shirt on and that was a bit chilly, nothing a thin long sleeve shirt couldn’t fix and if you’re warm blooded and well climatized you’ll be fine. Fits to size. 10/10

Super nice and good fit. If tall (6' 2" and up) I suggest the large. spent an hour in pouring weather fishing and dry clothes underneath afterwards

4 stars. Ordered for my husband The coat is great, thin shell layer, keeps you nice and dry, but The sizing seems to be different with this coat compared to other Carhartt clothing. The Medium is closer to a Carhartt small. Had to reorder. Runs small. Size up.
