Kooljewelry Solid 14k Yellow Gold Filled Mariner Link Chain Necklace for Men and Women (3.3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, 5.8 mm or 7.8 mm)

I was looking for a chain to wear with my late husband's 14k gold scarab which is pretty big for a charm. It's about a half inch long and half a wide. I chose this because it was similar to the original chain but it just wasn't right. The scarab was lost because the 4mm was too wide. It's gorgeous though and I'm keeping it, but it wasn't quite what I needed. It looked like all chain and the simple beauty of the scarab was just completely lost.I think this looks amazing as a stand-alone piece so I can't wait to wear it again.So here's the thing about gold-filled jewelry. I've seen bad reviews from people who assumed this was solid 14k and therefore not what they wanted. Here's something I learned a long time ago...1) Gold-filled is just as nice as 14k gold!!! It's so much cheaper and you're still getting the gold without the price (upwards of $350 for my piece). Think of it as a thin wrap or tube of 14k gold wrapped around a base metal that will never, ever touch your skin.2) I have a nickel allergy- gold is pretty much hyperallergenic, but I don't want to pay the price of solid gold.3) Gold-filled does not flake or rub off like 'gold plate'.Do yourself a favor- give gold-filled a try and I SWEAR you will not be disappointed!

I have had my necklace for a month now and I have not taken it off once. I sweat with it on, I shower with it on, I sit in the spa with it on every night...it has the same shine as if it just came out of the box. This is a quality option for those who can't or don't want to spend the full price of a real solid gold necklace. I will definitely do more business here.

So far almost 9 months after I bought it.Still looks like the first time that I put it on my neck. Looks very real, good quality the only problem was the lock like a month having it it loose a little bit of the gold plated. But was only in the lock, the chain itself it’s ok and I wear it everyday, even work, exercise and shower with it.Overall I recommend it, that was the only issue with the lock loosing a little bit of the gold platting.

I wore this piece a total of three times. The third time I noticed black tarnish on the links that weren't layered with gold. Unfortunately it was too late to return. I like the link style but next time I'll just buy real gold instead of plated.

This is my 4th piece from KoolJewelery.The gold filled is so perfect that people don't know the difference.I received complaints every time I wear them.

I only had this chain Two weeks an it started turning up with black spots on it how do I get my money back that's a 300 dollars lost
