Great scale. Works just fine.
I'm so glad we got this. We've been worried about our preemie gaining weight while we find the right formula. Very happy with how easy it is to use. It's easy to assemble and stores right on our changing table shelf. It could easily fit in a reusable grocery bag. We use it before bath time and zero it with a thin blanket on top. It's on a solid surface with no padding and not touching any walls or rails. The blanket can't hang off either. Baby wiggles but you have to use the hold option. I can't confirm the accuracy. For our purposes we are just tracking grams to see if he's gaining. We're not worried about the weight being exact.

Accurate, if you're careful about measuring a moving baby
We rented a Medela BabyWeigh II ($1,500, supposedly accurate to 2 g) for a couple weeks to measure my baby's weight change at each feeding. I bought this scale to keep longer for daily weight checks and compared the two side-by-side.The good: when my baby was still, this scale was within 10–20 g of the Medela. If you want to do a daily weight check, that's more than good enough. (A baby's weight changes much more than that anyway with every feeding and every diaper change.) It's probably good enough for measuring feedings too. This scale cost me $60. I saw a couple $40 scales that had poor reviews for accuracy (10% off!). I'm glad I spent the extra $20. And it's certainly a better bargain than renting the Medela, which cost me $25 per week. The bad: it doesn't do as well as I'd like with a moving baby. The Medela handles this gracefully: it beeps when it has an accurate weight. if your baby is really moving, it just takes a little longer. This scale doesn't. It has a "hold" button which the manual says takes an average. That's a lie! It just makes the display stop changing, freezing it at whatever its current value is. When my baby is moving, that might bounce around as much as 200 g. So if you want an accurate reading, you have to eyeball an "average" time, which adds more subjectivity than I was hoping for. Still, if you're careful, you can do a pretty good job.

LOVE this scale...accurate to 0.5 ounce!!
I was very skeptical about ordering this product, after reading that some people said the weight measurements were way off. However, that has not been my experience at all. I can weigh my baby multiple times in a row and get the exact same weight. The only variation I have ever found is if he is in-between a measurement. It will bounce back and forth within a half an ounce (which is the accuracy that this scale states it can go to). My son has had trouble gaining weight and the doctor was concerned, so I ordered the scale to help me monitor at home. It has been a lifesaver! Gives me such peace of mind to know that I can measure how much he is eating and his weight gain in between doctor's appointments (and save myself the doctor visit fee, as they charge for weight checks). I cannot recommend this scale enough!!! Another awesome benefit is that the scale breaks down to become much more compact. I was able to pack it into my doctor's office and compare how this scale read versus the doctors. They were very close (within an ounce or so) but really I just needed this scale to compared to itself, so I can do before and after feed weighs, as well as monitor his weight gain on a daily basis. You will not be disappointed!

Good scale, measures accurately
It works as it says. One thing to be aware of is the pounds doesn’t show ounces if that makes sense

Child with Rare Heart Defect Needs Accuracy
Very disappointed with this purchase. We have an 8-month old daughter with a rare heart defect. She started to lose weight due to the effects of the defect. We have been put in a position where monitoring her rate of diminishment versus gains is very necessary in order to report post-surgery progress to her medical care. We have many appointments at the hospital where she is weighed. This scale has been found to be lacking anything nearly resembling accuracy. It has been almost half a pound inaccurate for the entire time we have owned it. We bought this scale on May 7 and within a month and a half it is unusable. We are very disappointed in this purchase.

Accurate readings, great for NICU babies and monitoring weight gain in young children.
Bought this for when my NICU baby came home for reassurance that baby was continuing to gain weight. I was a little nervous about the 10g margin on error but this scale is surprisingly accurate! We brought it along to a weight check appointment and weighed baby on this scale, and then the pediatrician’s scale, and the readings were as stated 10g margin of error. Providers scale said 1960g this scale said 1970g. I feel confident using this scale at home to monitor baby’s growth. I would highly recommend this scale as an affordable alternative to other scales marketed towards parents with young children.

HOLD function does not work as advertised
The scale seems accurate, but only if your baby doesn't move at all. The HOLD function, which is supposed to take an average of the weights it reads while your baby moves around, simply takes whatever measurement was read when you hit the button...not helpful. As such, 2 stars

Good Scale for Price
We've been using this scale for a month to track our daughter's weight. It's a nice scale and has been accurate when compared to our doctor's scale. The only reason I'm knocking off a star is due to the confusion with the hold function. I'm including a picture of the instructions which say the hold function will take the AVERAGE weight for you, which is great if you have a wiggly baby. However, this is not the case. As the seller says on this page, the hold function simply stops the display from changing once you've determined what the weight is.
