Good quality well made item, worth it at this price.

After building my circuit on the smaller breadboard, I connected a new Energiser 9v battery. The circuit didn't work, so after a minute or so I started probing around with my multimeter. As I did so, I touched the battery with my hand, and it was burning hot. I immediately disconnected it to check my wiring. It was wired correctly, but there was a dead short across the power rails. Opening up the breadboard revealed that the conductive strip of metal that should have been under the holes, was forced over the plastic dividing strip at one end, shorting it to the other strip. EDIT...updated to 5 stars, as seller generously offered a full refund. Good customer service.

This breadboard kit comes with two breadboards, connectors and one power supply module with 9V battery connector. The breadboard is quite sturdy, there is adhesive behind the breadboard if you ever need to make the final project to be mounted to a container. The power supply units offers 3.3V and 5V, which is useful especially if you need to power a microcontroller unit. However the jumper wires feels quite fragile as the mounting plastic to the pin comes off easily, it need a bit of force to put the jumper into the breadboard.

Used for an inside on how things work

The best thing about this kit is the PSU which fits on to the board and converts from 9v battery / USB to 5 or 3.3vdc.
