off white but on the lighter side. Definitely, not a true white

Is this made with any mdf or similar? Or is it real wood?

I have the teal and I think mine are pine or Cottenwood. In the features and details it says it's solid poplar wood. (Cottonwood) so I'd say that is what I have. Cottonwood is a popular wood for woodworking. I like mine very much and have had them for 4 years now. Drawers are a little flimsy but it doesn't seem to be an issue for me.

How tall is the space between the shelf and the drawer? I want to set my air purifier on it.

13 3/8" will clear the bottom of the drawer.
