This lens hood fits perfectly and helps block glare while shooting. Lightweight, snaps on securely, and does what it’s supposed to. It’s not the same quality as brand-name hoods, but for everyday photography it works great.

I purchased for my Nikon Z 24-120mm f/4 S…the first one i ordered was not fitting up to lock onto the lens, this second replacement seems to work and lock onto the lens. Time will tell - thinner plastic hood flexes more but once locked onto the lens it is firm and well secured. I purchased this hood because it looks better ascetically and more compact…I’m leaving it on the lens because it works as a lens shade should.

For the price it’s very good. Works great for my Nikon 55mm lens . It locks in with a snap and secures it but is easy to twist off when you need to. Great for helping protect your lens and is good quality. It’s a hard plastic so if you accidentally sit or put a lot of weight on it while off the lens it will probably crack but when on it will provide very adequate protection and shade. Highly recommend for 55mm.

This shroud fits snugly to the stock 18-55 mm AF-P Nikkor lens that came with my camera. I purchased it, expecting the shroud to fit my 35 mm (prime) AF-S lens... it did not. Ah ha. I'm learning that not all shrouds fit all lenses (my fault). Build quality: hood fits snugly and with an audible click on the lens' bayonet lug. Materials: it does feel different from the Nikon-made hood (the plastic feels more brittle than the Nikon's plastic). Still, for the price, I think it's worth it.
