Nice budget lock
This is my probably 5th U-lock over the last 20 years. My first reaction when I saw the keabys "large" U lock was "oops, this is small". The U lock is smaller than the rest of my bicycle locks, which means two things - it is easier to find a place to mount it on my road bike, but, depending on what you want to lock it to, it might or might not work. It is still sufficient to secure the front wheel to the frame, or I guess just the frame to a post. The U lock itself seems of good quality, and sturdy enough. The lock functions properly, and it has a mechanism that can cover it. I was surprised to see that it only came with 2 keys (every other U lock I've bought came with 5), but 2 are enough. The cable, which is necessary to seriously secure a bike, is a bit on the thinner, and lighter side compared to a Kryptonite cable, but it still looks decent enough. What I found annoying is that contrary to other cables, which tend to coil, this one wants to stay straight, making it problematic to secure on the bike while riding.Overall, this is a functioning lock, and not a bad choice, especially given the price. If I wanted to secure a $2,000 bike, I would probably get a Kryptonite, but given that it is for a budget bike in a low-crime area, I think this lock will do the job just fine.

Not recommended for mountain bikes!
When I opened the box that contained this U lock, I knew it was going to be too bulky. After reading the description, looking over the photos and watching the video, I thought this lock would be perfect. I have a 26" Vilano Mountain Bike. I had to remove my water bottle holder, because to mount it anywhere else, the bracket would have interfered with my brakes or my shifting cables. It barely fit in the spot that was doable; Plus, the bracket wasn't large enough to reach around the girth of my bike frame. The areas the bracket would fit it hindered or obstructed my brakes or gears; Not to mention the U lock itself simply wouldn't fit anywhere without causing a problem. It's really heavy and bulky for a mountain bike to carry. It would probably work out well for a motorcycle, electric bike or even a city bike; But not so well for the cyclist who has a Mountain Bike, BMX or a lighter type of bike for speed. Since the lock is heavy, it could affect the bike's center of gravity. Depending on how and where you mount it. It was a disappointment. I will add that this lock certainly is heavy duty, very strong and sturdy. I think more suited for a motorized bike.

Serious Security!
This large bike lock is ideal for locking up my scooter because it is extra heavy duty. Not only is it big and intimidating but it is very noticeable. The locking mechanism seems very strong, yet I realize that a professional thief could probably pick-it within two minutes. However, most professional thieves aren't stealing scooters and/or bikes. It comes with a mounting bracket that fastens to your bike or scooter for easy storage and carrying. The heavy duty shackle is 0.63", along with a 1/16 of an inch of silicone cover. It includes two keys, and the cable is 6' long which is more than enough for locking my scooter to various objects. I am very impressed with the heavy duty U bar, which also is waterproof. Most thieves take the path of least resistance, the look of this bike lock alone will stop the thief mentally in his tracks! I can highly recommend this lock to be used on a bike, scooter, ebike, fence, or even a motorcycle!

Good quality
The media could not be loaded. Update: I was able to attach the lock to the bike. It took me a while to figure it out. Nice lock as long as you can attach it to the bike.Update from: This is a heavy-duty lock and of good quality. It is easy to use, and It brings everything was as expected. The only thing I found was that there is no safe way to attach the lock to the bike. The bracket is too small for my mountain bike tube. I tried different ways to place it but was unsuccessful. I also found that Attaching it to the top of the bicycle can be dangerous while I ride. So even if it fits on the tube, which it didn't, I would not feel safe placing it between my legs. I am still trying to figure how to attach it to my bike, so I can take It with me when riding the bike.

Great lock for a electronic scooter too
Got this to lock up a electronic scooter when I take it out and about. And even though that use isn't really mentioned in the product listing, it appears that it will work for a scooter just fine. It is plenty large enough to fit around the scooter's main tube and around a bike rack (or whatever else you might want to secure it to.) Not sure if I'll use the cable much, but it isn't a bad thing to have along, just in case. Nice bonus that this lock has a way to store it on the bike or scooter when you're not using it. Means you don't have to remember to carry it with you. All in all, an excellent lock. I recommend it.

not for me
its a good lock but doesn't fit my needs for several reasons, i wanted to get a lock for my four kids so they can start riding their bikes places problem with this is that its a mounted bracket for the bike which makes it hard for sharing purposes, i was looking for a lock that any kid can take at any given time and unfortunately this is not it, also its pretty heavy duty so if one of my kids wanted to take it with its heavy for them to carry. this is a good lock and might be a good fit for others needs but for kids there are much better options

Heavy but good security tradeoff
I'm using this for a fixed lock that I don't carry with me -- it's far too heavy for that. I leave it locked in place on the rack I visit daily. I like the thickness of the cable and the way the keyhole is protected from the environment. The U lock can't be shimmed open although I'm sure the lock picking lawyer can pop the lock in 20 seconds with a pick set. In real life a thief is going to use a grinder or heavy cutting tool. The heavier lock provides a bit of a challenge and may deter some criminals.
