I purchased this for my granddaughter for Christmas. I can't wait for her to see it!!! Yes, putting it together will take about 1-1/2 to 2 hours. You can do it alone, but it helps to have a partner to hold the walls when you're installing the ceilings. You will need to refer to the pictures on Amazon since the directions are simple black-and-white line drawings. You should lay out all the screws first and be aware of the length and color coding of those screws. However, it's not that hard to put together...just time-consuming. So don't wait until midnight on Christmas Eve!!! Your efforts will be well worth it! This doll house is adorable and sturdy. The furniture is of great quality as well. I love that this doll house provides a variety of play....with the restaurant, beauty shop, and dress shop on the first floor. So much creative play is possible. I wish the beauty shop came with a chair, so I will be looking for that. I also wish the dress hanger had magnets on both sides as well. These are just minor things though. This is well worth the high price tag. You are simply getting what you are paying for.

I love this doll house. I bought a USED one, which had obviously not been completely put together. I think they gave up because it was hard! And they didn't seem to have followed the instructions. They had screwed holes in parts from later steps and not completed earlier ones...There are some areas which need to have holes in them predrilled. Because they are not predrilled, trying to screw into the board actually tears the entire board apart!! I made my own holes carefully, and I had to make them in other spots because mine was already damaged from the previous owner. You can see in the photos how they were damaged, and I think that they are easily damaged. When I tried to screw into a nice spot of the wood, it started cracking in half!! So I think it's important to try to gently make some holes in the spot you want to screw first. Then it is less likely to fall apart. It took me a while to assemble, but was well worth it in the end. It still looks incredible, and my daughter loves it!!

We bought this as a Christmas gift for our 8 y/o daughter. She was asking for a "big kid doll house," specifically a LOL Chalet, which we couldn't find anywhere. Then I came across this Kid Kraft Brooklyn's Loft doll house, which was much bigger and at a much better price, AND it is made of sturdy wood vs. plastic. Even the furniture is made of sturdy wood (other than the thick plastic clawfoot bath tub and toilet which can be filled with water) and feels like it will last a long time.All of the pieces, including the hardware, were well labeled, making it easy to organize them and grab the pieces as needed. The screws are color coordinated to blend in with the pictures on the panels.My daughter was ecstatic when she woke up to this huge fully assembled and furnished doll house on Christmas morning. She said she liked it even better than the chalet that she was originally asking for. She can easily fit her Barbies and/or magnet dolls in the house.I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a big sturdy doll house for their "big kids" or for anyone looking for a doll house their kids can grow into. This will be lasting a long time!

The dollhouse is great. Huge. My kids love it.But the instructions are absolutely horrible. Should have taken an hour and a half or so to put together but all the time trying to figure out what piece to use based on vague instructions was frustrating. And the screws are the same size but are color coated based on where they’re being used to match the design.However, it’s not stated anywhere so you likely won’t find out until it’s halfway set up. But, it’s not that much of a big deal. It’s still a great house. Perfect for Barbie sized dolls.

This dollhouse is adorable! It's cute and colorful. There are a lot of accessories that come with it making it even better. However, the pieces are labeled with assembly stickers right in the middle of the cute, colorful walls and when you try to peel them off it will try to take the cute, colorful wall with it. So we had to leave some of the assembly stickers on the walls. Also we were missing all the pieces to assemble the cafe(bottom right). We couldn't send it back because this was from Santa and did not have the time for a new one to come in. The missing pieces do not affect the playability of the dollhouse but it would look better with the cafe pieces.

I am very happy with this purchase. My daughter wanted the Barbie dream house but it didn’t offer the extra places for pretend play plus the colors on this one are pretty great! As far as putting it together....While 1 person could put this together with some slight difficulty, 2 people are definitely better. The areas where 2 are more needed is when putting the top floors onto the side walls. Some of the walls were slightly larger and needed that extra person to push and/or pull down on the floor/wall while the other gets the screw in. This made the wall bow out but it’s hardly noticeable now that it’s all together. A helpful piece of advice is to not fully tighten all the screws until you’ve gotten them all in as you do each section. We had to loosen a few to finagle the pieces at times. The guard rail at the patio comes off and isn’t very easy for my 7 year old to put it back on which makes it inconvenient for me but it’s certainly not hard for me or her older brother to put on. I‘m sure in time she’ll get it though. I feel any negative part of this is far outweighed by the positives though!It’s been a month and it’s holding up nicely even when our 2.5 year old son wrestles his dinosaurs inside and drives his monster trucks into the walls. :) The lamp is an actual working piece which was a surprise to us. The furniture pieces are sturdy and it’s super neat having the dress form with magnetic clothing to change out. My daughter loves the options she has with moving the furniture around and being able to take her Barbie to shop, eat, or get a makeover. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone but keep in mind you may need some extra patience getting it together.

Qualitativ hochwertig. Gut verarbeitet und schöne Details. Da haben die Barbies ein tolles Zuhause gefunden. Dadurch dass es sowohl Wohnbereich als auch "Shoppingbereich" wird es sehe vielfältig bespielt. Es lädt zum kreativ werden ein.Aufbauen ließ es sich auch sehr gut und da die Schrauben sogar passend zu den Zimmern eingefärbt sind, fallen sie kaum mehr auf.Gefällt deutlich besser als die Plastikbauten anderer Hersteller.
