Works pretty well.
I was surprised at the quality of the disks for the cost. I bought the assortment. I was a bit leary of the disks rubber structure, as it looked a bit to aggressive and might burn the granite or leave swirl marks, Not so if used with patience and LOTS OF WATER. Combined with a light pressure !You can save yourself a considerable amount of money with this assortment in repairing minor scratches and such. Just take it easy, Check your work area often to see how things are doing, and how the light is being reflected. Messy it is, no getting around that. Keep in mind that the moment of the grinding wheel should NEVER stop being moved about, or you'll have a donut hole. You have diamonds at work here !I think the adapter plate is a must also. Though it is a bit of a problem getting the grinding pads centered right to minimize vibration. Otherwise, a thumbs up to the company.

Good selection of grits !
Very convenient to use but not suitable for the really high speed grinders...We ordered a slower speed polisher ...The hook and loop will not hold the discs centered and it becomes pretty wobbly. Probably best used with water so I may have to use an air powered orbital polisher so I don't get electrocuted while doing the shower glass. We actually used straight Muriatic acid for the water spots and it did'nt begin to remove them. The grinder we just tried was too fast and kind of melted the residue without removing it.I recommend a 2nd person applying a water mist or spray WHILE you work the polisher.I might try the white dupont rubbing compound as well with the slower speed buffer...We will see..............

First time use
This was my first time cutting, buffing and polishing a ceramic countertop. We remodeled our kitchen and our daughter wanted to old countertop for her kitchen. Of course the dimensions were not right so I was asked to cut and cleanup the edges. The polishing pads worked well. I will mention that the pads attach with Velcro. There were several times upon initial startup of the tool that the pad "took flight", hitting various objects like the garage door and my truck...with power. Be sure you understand this and keep others clear should you every try these pads. Bottom line...I would buy again and recommend to family and friends.

Better than expected results.
I purchased these to polish some small stones that I had cut using my drill press. I was surprised at how quickly I could move through the different grits to achieve the desired results. Was much more economical for the small project I had than purchasing an expensive flat lap machine and discs.

Well worth it, the work unbelievably well!
Winner!! These along with a bullnose saw blade saved me some serious cash! I used the polishing pads after cutting my travertine bullnose. Travertine bullnose is ridiculously expensive if you can find it.As mentioned in other reviews you MUST use the pads in order, there is no shortcut. I was able to stop at the 800 grit pad, this matched the factory surface of the tile saving me some time. With some creativity, I mounted my pad to a 20V DeWalt drill, set it on the third speed and it worked flawlessly. A typical grinder will spin WAY TO FAST for these pads, look at your grinder for the rpm first, the max rpm is listed on Amazon. This listing on Amazon is different than what is listed on the backing pad, that is the RPM for the backing pad not the actual pads. Amazon list the speed for the pads themselves.Would I buy them again, absolutely!!!

Needs an adapter for full range versatility
I like the pads so far, but I had to resort to only being able to use my angle grinder, which is a bit too powerful for these imo. You need the ability to use them with slower RPM devices as well.. polishing. They really do need to come with a drill adapter. A simple "m14 to 8mm shank" drill adapter would make this compatible with many more things, if there was an adapter for a rotary tool as well this could be even more useful. That would require a 4mm shank instead of the 8. These are some of the best pads on the market but this ad is lacking the adapters some of the cheaper sets come with.

Great polishing pad set
I watched a bunch of videos on how to polish granite, then chose the techniques that were common among all the successful ones. Use water to keep the material/pads lubricated and cool. Don't exceed the speed recommended on the pads. Use a variable speed grinder - the mounting pad will fit right on it. Keep moving! If you have a scrap piece, practice first, you'll get better as you 'feel' how the surface is responding to the polishing process. Don't skip any pads... the sequence is very important since each pad has the right grit to remove the scratches created from the previous pad. If you skip or don't polish a pad long enough the finish will be a bit dull and you get to go back and do it over again. This is the way!

very good at lower RPM
I used these on granite with a speed reducing controller, such as can be purchased for a router. My angle grinder is 14,000 rpm and the disks would not stay in balance.I personally would not expect a Velcro attached disc to do so at such speeds .They performed excellently and I expect will do so for many more cut edges and re-polishing's
