We remodeled our kitchen and our daughter wanted to old countertop for her kitchen. Of course the dimensions were not right so I was asked to cut and cleanup the edges. The polishing pads worked well. I will mention that the pads attach with Velcro. There were several times upon initial startup of the tool that the pad "took flight", hitting various objects like the garage door and my truck...with power. Be sure you understand this and keep others clear should you every try these pads.
