Worried about cleaning if it is raw cast iron** A: It is coated just like the outside - no raw iron. **Q: What product do you use to heat the fondue?** A: You can buy fondue gel fuel and fill the alcohol burner or you can remove the alcohol burner and use Sterno canned fuel. Hardware stores and many grocery stores carry it (or buy it from Amazon). If you want a very low heat like to keep chocolate warm you can use the little tea light candles. Lots of options. I’ve had many different fondue pots over the years. This one is very nice and heavy duty. I bought it in white. **Q: Is it possible to cook meat and seafood in it?** A: Yes. It’s heavy cast iron. But it may be difficult to control the temperature of the oil. I’ve found electric fondue pots to be much better for cooking meats and seafood in hot oil as you can set the temperature for a consistent heat. **Q: Does the base come apart so I can use it on my gas stove?** A: Yes, they are separated ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Seems good quality *by on Reviewed in the United States 28 July 2026* It look fine but we did not test it yet. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great quality *by on Reviewed in the United States 31 October 2025* Really surprised about the great quality!
