Good device, just a headache to integrate...
I bought this device because of its supposed SmartThings compatibility. And although I was able to get it working, I had to jump through several hoops to do so. First, hardwiring the receptacle into my home, the SmartThings hub could not connect to it. Although it was closer than a GE Zigzee receptacle I have, the Enerwave did not show. On a whim, I connected an AC "pigtail" to it, plugged it in just inches from the hub and this time the SmartThings hub "saw it," even though the device was identified only as "Thing." I then went to the SmartThings web UI and had to manually edit the device. Finally, after some trial and error, because there was no troubleshooting documentation to be had, I got it working.Since then, the device has worked flawlessly. However, I prefer smart devices that work right out of the box.

Works great, needs special setup for smartthings
I have multiple zigbee networks so i tried out a couple setups. It Works with harmony elite extender, however a little slow to respond. Then i tried with linking it through harmony via smartthings. Delay of course, was worse. The receptical is Not natively supported by smarththings through the app, but with a few Google searches and the answers identified in the other comments here on amazon I was able to set it up directly in the smartthings zigbee hub by swapping the device handler in the smarththings Web ide. Now it works great. Response is within 1/4 second if not quicker. I actually ordered even more of these, putting zigbee outlet recepticals in each room and zwave wall switches for overhead lights and ceiling fans. Setup directly in smarththing is not for the naive, if you have some understanding of git and can copy and paste code, it's a 5 minute job.

Compatible, not Supported
It took about 5 minutes to set up once it was exchanged for the outlet. Smartthings doesn't recognize it out of the box (it just shows up as a Thing) and you have to use the Smartthings website to change the device handler over to something else. I chose "ZigBee Switch Power" and it works fine with that. I suppose it could have other features if someone wrote a new handler, but the basic "on/off" works just fine. As long as it keeps working, I'll be totally satisfied with the product. To be clear: the description says that it is compatible with Smartthings, it doesn't say it is supported by Smartthings. There are very few Zigbee outlets, so it is great that this one works.

Should have read the reviews first!
If you say compatible with SmartThings, my expectation is that it works out of the box. It does not, you need to install a device handler - no big deal, but the description should say so. There should even be a link or instructions, which there are not.It works. Shows up as "Thing" when it is discovered. Took me about 20 minutes of search to find the right device handler. This one worked best for me: on github - /erocm123/SmartThingsPublic/blob/master/devicetypes/erocm123/enerwave-zigbee-outlet-switch-zb15r-zb333-zb15s.src/enerwave-zigbee-outlet-switch-zb15r-zb333-zb15s.groovyI am happy with the purchase, just wish they had been more upfront with the compatibility. If so, would have been 5 Stars

Works Great!
Works Great, Please Read the Reviews for Assistance... I have Smartthings and it was a pain to find any instructions for this product and the user Manual is worthless, NOTE only 1 plug is controlled the other is always on, Not a complaint.... Just FYI.

Doesn't work at all
I hate products that are subpar quality or just don't work.I have a Samsung SmartThings Hub and the description for this device says it's supported. I went through the trouble of taking out and replacing my outlet only to find that SmartThings could not discover it. I tried everything from moving the hub to confirming another ZigBee device worked from the same location. After confirming power, I followed the instructions to reset the device and exclude it from prior networks - nothing worked. What I realized is that there is no indication that this device is ZigBee certified -so it might not stick to the required ZigBee standards and has not been shown to work in a variety of ZigBee environments. My experience was proof of that.Too bad, there are not many in-wall ZigBee outlets to choose from. Guess I stick with Z-Wave or use a wall wart style outlet.
