Can you set the color and intensity of the daylight light when running it off the timer ?

Daylight color is fixed full spectrum light. Neither color nor intensity can be programmed. However you can set DIY mode to change color or intensity.

With the brackets on, will it fit a 30" tank exactly?

Make sure u get the right size for that measurement, they fit a range and are adjustable. I have a 10gallon tank

What size light for a 20 gallon tank not loog neither

For my 20 gallon tall aquarium the best fit was a 24" to 30". It fit the aquarium without extending the brackets and covered the entire tank. I didn't have a cover on my aquarium, didn't have any jumpers in there, so I don't know how it will fit with your cover.

Can this light be placed directly on top of the aquariim glass with the stand removed?
