Large and very lightweight cutting board!
If you ever wanted to take a cutting board while backpacking but just couldn't justify the weight, this is the cutting board for you! I was surprised how thin, yet sturdy, it is. Seriously, I was half-expecting something on the floppy side that could even be rolled up but this is nothing like that. It's actually rigid and even has an eye-hole if you want to hang it. If you look in the upper-left corner of the cutting board, you'll find a small chicken embossed on one side and a small carrot embossed on the other side. This will help you keep track of which side you used for meat and which side you used for veggies just in case you're in a situation where you have to use both sides of the cutting board. Nice touch. That said, this does create extra nooks and crannies that can harbor germs and bacteria so be sure not to miss them when cleaning. I'm happy with this cutting board. It's super thin and lightweight and large enough to be comfortable for daily use. This is one of those rare purchases where I felt like I got more than what I paid for.

Good small cutting boards
Good small, lightweight cutting board. I bought more and put in camping supplies, picnic basket and carry one for car camping. They are small, but that's the point in my intended scenarios. Easy to clean.

The Large Size is very small but still, useful on hikes
Basic board you can easily get from a dollar store. I picked โlargeโ Yet is extremely small, about a big hand sized board. Useful on hikes? Indeed. But itโs going to be too small if youโre planning on cutting a lot on it

Excellent for Fishing - cutting bait. Lightweight and fits in fishing bag.
Bought this to take along when out for Surf fishing. Its strong, lightweight and reasonably thin. The thickness is about the same as that of a cardboard box panel that you get stuff from Amazon in. I drilled a hole in one of the corners and threaded a lightweight carabiner to be able to hang to my fishing shoulder bag. This also fits easily inside bags due to its small size. Very lightweight, slightly flexible and wonderful for my purpose.

Throw it in the backpack...
I spend a lot of time in the backcountry, living out of a backpack. Whether I am dressing a fish or chopping up foraged edibles, I am always looking for the perfect flat log or piece of wood to substitute as a cutting board. Weight is always a consideration but at less than 6 ounces, I decided to give this cutting board a try. Especially considering the price can not be beat. I'm glad I purchased it. The cutting board fits perfectly into my backpack but doesn't add much weight. One side of the board it marked for meat and the reverse is labeled for vegetables. This makes it easy to avoid cross contamination. After being stored in my pack day after day, the board does warp slightly. However, this to be expected with such a lightweight cutting board. I don't think anyone should expect this thing to hold it's shape and stay perfectly flat. After a year of use, this GSI Ultralight Cutting Board has earned a permanent spot in my pack.

Exactly what I needed....
This is great to just pull out of the cabinet for a quick chop of something....when you don't need a big old cutting board. This is tiny..it's actually smaller than I expected but exactly what I needed. Perfect! If you don't have one of these get one, you'll use it more than you think!

not really sturdy enough for real camp prep...
I knew it was small, but I hoped it was fairly sturdy. Nope, way too flexible. I'll use it for day hike meal prep, but it's not really sturdy enough for real camp prep.

Will do the trick
This cutting board arrived today. It is pretty thin. Using a micrometer, it is 2.75mm thick, which is about 1/10 of an inch. By comparison, another 'plastic' cutting board I have is 3/10in thick, and my plastic Cutco board is 4/10in. thick. Ok, so it's thin...but if you're looking for lightweight and functional, this will do the trick. It is rigid enough to carry some cut lemons, strawberries, whatever from place to place. The price on this is great. If you want thick and more rigid board, spend a few more bucks and choose another one. Cheers.
