These were easy to fit and place on the stair. They give a nice look and seem durable.

Doesn't Stick to Wood Stairs
I used these on the stair risers going to the basement after I had painted them. They all fell off the next day. I researched the problem and discovered "contact paper" like this does not stick to wood. The product description says the recommend surface should be either glass or metal. Most stairs in households are wood. I then generously applied Mod Podge to the risers and stuck the pieces back on. It was actually easier because I could move the paper around until I got it in the perfect spot. I would recommend doing it this way right away. It's been several days and they all stick great! I love the design and I'm super happy that I did this.

Did not work for me.
These did not work for me. They did not stick to the wood risers which were made of particle board. Very thin paper. I ended up using real wood and stained them to match the steps.

Sooooo Easy!
I am super impressed with these! So easy to work with. East to cut, easy to reposition, and NO bubbles! Took me less than an hour to do 7 stairs, and that includes measuring and cutting. The quality is really great; a nice thick vinyl. I’m so glad I found these—I wasn’t looking forward to painting. These give my old oak stairs a new, fresh clean look. The pic shows my stairs half done. Such an improvement!

Better than painting but...
I just put them on. Very easy to use. Looks great. Better than painting them. However I'd suggest grid lines for easier cutting. There's no extra for error so order more just in case. Beautiful change. Just like peel n stick wallpaper.Had to fix rating. They DID NOT stick. After about a week they popped off. Especially at the edges. Had to use double side tape and that was tricky so it didn't look like a bubble. I guess you could use them to see if you like the color or design before you make it permanent but that's about all.

Doesn't schtick.
Doesn't schtick. Ends started curling up the very next day. I have to keep smoothing them out. Frustrating. And waste of time and money.
