Ticks all the boxes and high quality
Bought and returned looking for other options like boom stand so tried several of the competitors. I eventually came back and repurchased this scope. Ticks all the boxes for me and what seemed less than turns out to be a solid scope. Competitors seem to be racing to come up with clever features to seem better but in the end this scope has some great features! -Magnification is perfect for SMD got clear picture and super close up -Great focus dial solid -Awesome base that accommodates larger pcb unlike others -Base pole even has ability to tilt to allow what competitors label 3D view which is essentially just an angled view like this. At an angled view you can see SMD PCB components from partial side view to identify labels. -Clear display capturing both photo and video -Flex arm lamps instead of lens lamps which in my opinion seem impressive but those lens LED create a huge glare on PCB yet competitors have on way too many of their models. Offset lighting from the flex lights are way more versatile and realistic. These gooseneck lamps are nice and stiff while competitors were sloppy and didn't hold on place. -usb powered no battery which is not necessary in my opinion. Included the cabling AND the power adapter which competitors did NOT. -3 lens system that uses thumb screw to secure and would have liked to seen magnetic like competitors but at end of day works just fine One disappointment was HDMI cable only goes to larger HDMI and with newer USB C HDMI can transmit on USB C. So this is a limitation as USB C can fully support HDMI. The one thing I would like to see included or sold is a lens retainer that could be attached to any flexible boom. The competitors sell booms but they are specific to their products. Booms are so prevalent for lamps, monitors, microphones etc and it would be ideal to either include or offer a simple lens holding ring to mount the scope to an existing boom would make this the perfect scope. I will be pursuing some options I'm finding to achieve this however it would have been nice to have this piece available. See my picture of tiny SMD fuse blown on a hard drive pwb. This fuse was the size of a flea and I was able to rescue this blown HDD pwb using this scope.

I got it for coin collecting. Now I use it for all kinds of stuff!
I have been coin collecting for a long time and have gotten to the age that a magnifying glass just wasn't enough. Putting it together was pretty easy. I got it for coin collecting but have started using it for other stuff now. Seems to be well built and good quality. It is just the right size for what I am doing. And it has really good resolution and magnification. No complaints! I like that I can take pictures with it and then move the sdcard to my laptop to file!

Works but be careful - Not new. Repackaged item
Received this yesterday. Only received the stand microscope. The portable one (as part of the package) is still on its way. Was excited to open it and start using it. When I got the box, I immediately noticed it looked strange. Not sealed and there was a label that was obviously removed (when you remove a label from a cardboard box, it takes some of the surface paper with it). Once I opened it, I immediately knew this was not new. It had been opened, assembled and repackaged. Everything was there, but not arranged how it would be done by the manufacturer. When I found that all of the cables had twist ties that weren't uniform and none were in plastic bags and that the USB power brick was attached to the power cable, I knew it had been opened and used. I tested everything out. Everything was there and worked fine so won't be returning it. Just be aware, you may get a repackaged item. Will have to wait for the portable unit to review that one. As for the product review itself, I haven't used it much in the last 24 hours. But was able to use the 3 different lenses. The unit is designed pretty well. I wanted it for soldering and coin collecting. It will be good for those with the included magnification powers. The lighting was good and it has 2 goose-neck lights for the platform and one under-mount light unit for slides. Haven't tried that one as I don't have any slides. The magnification buttons work but not a really large range of digital options. Focus was good and was able to see very minute details on the coins I examined. It's made of lightweight plastic so don't know how durable it will be. For what I wanted, it seems to be a good choice. Would be nice to have a box or container specifically designed for the magnification lenses. Right now, only 2 of the three fit which means one is always exposed to possible damage when not in use. May need to make my own for that.

Anticipated returning, now I want to be the company spokesman.
Absolutely amazing! I honestly expected to hook this up and be unhappy then return it and spend more on a better one. I was absolutely floored with my purchase. The incredible quality of the image, the depth of field of all three lenses, and the durable craftsmanship of the multi-adjustable frame are nothing short of amazing. I did three different micro soldering jobs that I had been putting off because I was unable to see the tiny circuits. I sharpen knives as a hobby and that was one of the biggest factors in me purchasing the digital microscope. It works spectacular for both the soldering job and inspecting my finished Edge on my knives. The price to value is off the charts. I thought i would have to spend double the price to receive this quality.10 out of 10. I will update my review with images. 7 months since purchase and I think I love this microscope even more than when I wrote the original review

Great microscope with multiple lenses
This digital microscope is unique as it comes with multiple lenses, one long distance, another that covers most jobs, and a biological lens to see things up close like dust mites. This microscope stood out as other brands charge nearly double for the different lenses. It has pc sync which it says you can use if you have a 28 inch monitor, but I was able to use it on my 42inch 4k monitor no problem, you just want to use the USB cord & would have to keep the power supply light cord hooked up if you want light(which is a must). The device requires you to click camera on it(7 inch screen), then select usb on the software drop down menu to connect the microscope to their software. Originally I was trying to use the hdmi cable, but that's only if you're using it without a pc. 2160p is limited to the sd recording, but if using it on a 4k monitor you can hit the digital zoom button & it will nearly fill up the whole screen. I did have an issue with the device, but the manufacturer quickly addressed the issue for me. Overall its a great digital microscope & it beats the competition as it has 3 different lenses. Software was easy for me to set up, and the device feels very well built & solid with some nice weight & a sturdy base.

great scope for working on electronics
I got this to work on electronics, and it works great. I was using the "L" lens, which I thought was the best option for electronics work, since that's what they show in the photo, but actually 60x was way too much at times, so I found out that the "A" lens is better for my purposes, it's not too zoomed in, and if I want to zoom in closer, I just turn the knob to zoom it or use digital zoom, which works great. The "L" is good for the smallest soldering joints, but only that. It does have a wider focus than the "A" and sometimes that can be good, sometimes not. In any case, if you think it's zoomed in too much, I highly recommend the "A" lens, which is minimum 17x, allowing you to see more of the board. In any case, no matter which lens I tried, the detail it picks up is excellent, focusing is easy with just a twist, and my only issue is the length of the lights aren't great, also the lights get very hot. Decreasing the brightness does help, however. I use this with a separate light, and I'm happy with it. I only wish you could tilt the monitor down a bit, but you won't need to if you use the proper lens. It still gives me plenty of space to work underneath.

very easy to setup and use - great images
Great value and I works very well. Much more than I expected. image quality and range of adjustment is very good. I use it to repair/solder small parts and to inspect very small injection molded parts for quality.

Andonstar Digital Microscope
This is a fantastic microscope that can be adjusted many different ways. I've used it to look at several different items, and I love that it has a pretty large screen for viewing and a micro SD card slot for saving photos of your items up close. Great tool to have on hand at home or business.
