THE GOOD, THE BAD, and the I WANT A REFUND
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: Three months to the day since I first reported this seller. They continue to refuse to respond to me, and even MasterCard can’t get a response. Already the first carafe has shattered when it touched the side of the sink while being washed. I used it as a tea pitcher only, since it won’t work for cold brew, being that it doesn’t seal, as advertised. BUYER BEWARE!UPDATE: It’s now been nearly a month since I first reported this seller for shipping two cold brew makers which were not the ones described nor pictured, and in that time I’ve contacted the seller and Amazon about a dozen times by phone, message, chat, etc. No response from anyone. I now must file a chargeback with the credit card company and report the fraud to the USPS. Amazon continues to not vet their sellers. I’m tired of paying for their greed and poor business practice. The Good: Looks good, the filter basket is rigid, they (I ordered 2) were packaged well and there was no apparent damage to the shipping carton or the items. And while it’s not apparent in the photos, the handle is wide and easy to grip and control. The Bad: Being that air is the enemy of coffee, I was specifically looking for something airtight. And though the seller, Bassani Home, says its Brocca cold brew maker is “airtight” in the listing title, in the description, in the photos, and even on my receipt (see photos), it is not remotely airtight. Not only does the lid’s silicone gasket not fill the carafe opening (with or without the filter in), but it also doesn’t extend below the tiny, somewhat useless spout. So air just flows right in. (See video.) I even tried removing the basket’s gasket and adding it to the lid’s gasket, but it still wasn’t enough to keep the air out. It’s the same thing for both units, and sadly I didn’t notice it until I’d unpacked and washed them, then made tea in one and started cold brew in the other, so I suppose they’re now not returnable. So be warned. Bassani Home’s Brocca is not even close to being airtight, despite their frequent use of the word in describing it.(Edited to add: I have a video and several photos, but Amazon’s not letting upload them. I’ll keep trying.)

Great product!
I am really enjoying this cold brew coffee maker and the different functionalities it has!The design is very simple and elegant, I love this because I can leave the carafe on my countertop or at the table while eating and it looks beautiful. Other models using plastic, etc, do not have this elegant and stylish look.Regarding the ease of use, it is in fact very simple to do both cold brew coffee and tea. The instructions included are great, you can always modify them a bit if you want stronger/lighter coffee taste. Basically you leave the coffee brewing at night and the cold brew is ready in the morning. I love that it is also a tea infuser and you can pour boiling water into it, there's something about boiling water and plastic that I don't like, so that's why I chose a glass carafe. The handle is also very useful as you can carry it without burning yourself when making hot tea. Now, the price. I had been looking all around before buying this product on Amazon and this was definitely the best bang for my buck. The quality is well above anything else I saw in the typical stores and this coffee maker was right on budget.I highly recommend it!

Beautiful design with room for improvement
Pros:- Beautifully designed- simple and easy to maintain- like that it can be used for tea and coffeeCons- because the bottom of the filter is a solid sheet of metal that rises about half a centimeter, you have to keep tilting the pitcher to get the remaining liquid out after the coffee grind- the lid only stays on when the filter is also inserted. Would be better if there was a way for the lid to insert into the glass so that the liquid can remain capped without the empty filter also inserted. Once you're done brewing, you'd want to remove the filter and grind together.- perhaps a separate lid could be created that reaches just beneath the spout to create a full seal instead of leaving it open.- filter is small, so you need a small spoon in order to keep grind from spilling when refilling. Not a big deal, but something I noticed when moving from cold brewing in a much larger container.

So elegant - Makes great tea + coffee + flavored water. Love it!
I bought this about a month ago and I am loving it. Can't believe I didn't have one of these before. This glass pitcher for making cold brew coffee can be used for so much more! I've been using it to make tea every morning and then cool it in the fridge. The glass quality is very fine and it looks good when I place it on the table, with or without the strainer.I usually fill it with fruit tea or just some fruits and then cool it in the fridge for about 1-2h - You'll have a perfect, Martha-Stewart-style compliment to your tablescape that looks sleek and modern. As far as cold brew goes, this piece is perfect, the strain is small enough that the coffee steeps perfectly, while not coming through. Giving you a very subtle taste and plenty of energy. It's so nice to wake up to freshly cooled cold brew! - Plus you can remove the strainer and use the lid for the glass pitcher, making it a perfect water pitcher too.Works great for gifting too, I've given it as a hostess gift, since the packaging is sophisticated and it is something that everyone will use.

Have to Filter Cold Brew Before Drinking
I really love the look of this product, and it does make cold brew.. Unfortunately, I have to filer out the coffee before I drink it. Which is a bit of a pain honestly. I used preground coffee, but will be trying to grind my own to prevent this as a finer grind can permeate through the filter. This was originally supposed to be a quick, simple and cost effective alternative to going to Starbucks everday, and I do believe it still takes less time to filter the cold brew than it would to wait in line at Starbucks.
