With its slim shape, the LED lighting emits a warm, rich accent lighting with an expanded light zone, while the unit remains hidden for clean, contemporary style. Conveniently included in the kit are various sized jumper wires, which provide additional flexibility to cover longer distances or specialty configurations, such as jumping a stove. Depending on the task at hand, customize the light brightness by switching through the light’s 10 dimmer settings to find the perfect level of illumination while the flicker-free light softly fades out without any hot-spots. In addition to the power switch on one of the lights, for convenience and speed, you can also wave your hand below the motion sensor to turn the lights on or off. I purchased two sets of these lights and set out to add better lighting to our kitchen cabinets. The lights themselves have a sturdy aluminum housing and ultra-slim design. For my application – I used the plugin for the over the stove microwave oven to power these two lighting systems. By drilling holes through cabinets, I was able to install and power these lights without using valuable counter outlets, and, best of all, eliminate visible wirings along the counter backsplashes. Took a little time to complete this type of installation but well worth that extra effort! Quality, quality, quality – all lighting fixture and wire clips contains 3M adhesives that secured the lights and cables under the counter. Little screws are also provided the clips; however, I did not use the supplied screws because the 3M adhesives held everything firmly in place! We went with the warm white light kits – there are other color temperatures also available for this product. This system is high quality and has the right components for most kitchen cab installations. The light quality is good and amazingly even across the counter space. The 9" lights are more than adequate ( I was worried a bit about this). It is easy to install for a simple in line arrangement, or for a split arrangement where the sensor is central, and the lights go in both directions from there. There are enough cables included to do many possible kitchen layouts, without having to buy additional parts. I installed mine with a split arrangement, and only had to drill about 4 holes to hide all the cable. It is possible to drill no holes and still hide the cable, but you will need to tuck excess cabling in every nook and cranny you can find. And if you go from cabinet to cabinet you will need to go under the cabinet walls rather than thru them. So placing the cable at the rear of the cabinet makes them less visible, but not completely hidden. If you decide to drill no holes, you will likely also have to put the power brick in a visible location. I like the operation of the system too. There is both a motion sensor and two available buttons to switch the system on/off. The buttons also control the brightness (by holding them down while the brightness cycles). By careful placement of the lights and sensor, you can have switches available on the right, left, and center of your kitchen. Pretty handy . The sensor only operates when your hand is within a couple of inches; I like this because it doesn't set the lights off every time you are working on the counter space below the lights, and it doesn't randomly turn the lights off when you want to leave them on. You have to deliberately move your hand near to the sensor to turn the lights on/off. So place your sensor where you won't be accidentally setting it off. If you don't want the sensor, you must still install it, but you can inactivate it by putting some tape over it. All in all, great system, at a great price. Recommended.

There is so many good things about this under cabinet lighting system! I purchased two sets of these lights and set out to add better lighting to our kitchen cabinets. The lights themselves have a sturdy aluminum housing and ultra-slim design. For my application – I used the plugin for the over the stove microwave oven to power these two lighting systems. By drilling holes through cabinets, I was able to install and power these lights without using valuable counter outlets, and, best of all, eliminate visible wirings along the counter backsplashes. Took a little time to complete this type of installation but well worth that extra effort! Quality, quality, quality – all lighting fixture and wire clips contains 3M adhesives that secured the lights and cables under the counter. Little screws are also provided the clips; however, I did not use the supplied screws because the 3M adhesives held everything firmly in place! We went with the warm white light kits – there are other color temperatures also available for this product. B&D has really thought out what a good under cabinet light system should be. This system is high quality and has the right components for most kitchen cab installations. The light quality is good and amazingly even across the counter space. The 9" lights are more than adequate ( I was worried a bit about this). It is easy to install for a simple in line arrangement, or for a split arrangement where the sensor is central, and the lights go in both directions from there. There are enough cables included to do many possible kitchen layouts, without having to buy additional parts. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better Than Expected

I have written a couple of product reviews in the past but I have to say this is one I am very happy to write. I had been looking for some under counter lights for years. I was very fussy about what I wanted, how they would look and a clean installation. I found it all and then some with the Black & Decker lights. I purchased two each of the 3 light sets and one of the five light sets. First, I wanted a very low profile so that the lights could not be seen even from low angles. CHECK! I wanted a warm color to the light so they would not look like LEDs, CHECK! I wanted a factory look to the installation because I didn't want wires to be seen, CHECK! The lights themselves are very well made with a strong, rigid aluminum housing. You get mounting clips that can be mounted with the adhesive tape on them or screw mounted. There are clips that allow you to dress the cables for professional looking wire routing and a assortment of cables to accommodate many options for placement. I was surprise at the mounting kit because it didn't just come with what I needed, it came with much more than I needed. There is a motion detector on/off switch that requires your hand to be within about 2" of it to trigger. This keeps it from accidentally turning on or off while working on the counter tops or any time you don't want it to. In the 5 light pack it came with 2 of the light bars with a push botton switch that allows you to toggle the light and control the brightness. That means you can operate the light from wherever you place the switched bars. Nice if you have a long counter top and would like to be able to turn them on from either end of the counter. I had 3 sections I wanted to put lights on. I was able to plug the power supply in to the refrigerator outlet for the coffee bar section (see picture). The second section I plugged the power supply into the outlet for the microwave (see picture) which is in the cabinet. The third area I had to wire an outlet in the cabinet but I was lucky because there was an outlet on the counter directly below so it was an easy run. All I can say is that B & D made a quality product, didn't skimp on the hardware or cables, has great flexibility for brightness and control and at a very reasonable price. I am extremely happy with these light and the classy affect and useful light they provide in my kitchen.
