DolfinSolid Aquatard Swimsuit | Conservative Boyleg One Piece | Size 8-20

This is slightly too tight around my chest area and I think I would be more comfortable if it were slightly longer; however, it does stay well because the straps are tight. It pulls a little through the butt/thighs area, but once it's on it is fairly comfortable to wear for a 1-2 hour long swim 3+ times a week. I'm so grateful that this comes in bigger sizes because it's exactly what I needed. The shelf bra works just fine for my purposes even though I'm on the large size for chest and hips.

I am 59 and swim laps and needed a suit that would cover my thighs and was one piece. I have lost over 100 lbs and needed a suit that I felt comfortable in and this fits the bill. First, let me say, I had a few concerns and almost didn't get the suit but decided to give it a chance and am so glad I did. I was worried about my chest. I wear a 38 G bra and was concerned about the fit. The shelf bra is not supportive but I wear a black workout bra under the suit with no issues. I was worried about the length. I have a long torso and buy long torso suits or tankinis to deal with this issue. This suit was long enough in my torso to accommodate me. I was worried the suit was too thin. It's not at all thin or see thru. The only down side is there is no support. So there is no girdle like or compression wear. It is stretchy but it will not hold the tummy in. But I could care less. Not many people see me at 5am anyway. I was worried about how to get it off wet without a zipper. The top is large enough to easily get off even when wet. This suit is amazing. Highly recommend.Edit…….I am now 64 and have been wearing this suit for 5 years. I wash it daily and wear it in a chlorinated pool to swim my laps. This suit looks brand new and I cannot believe it. If I had not owned this suit myself, there is no way I would believe that this suit looks like new after 5+ years. I have never dried it. I throw it in the machine in cold water and let it drip dry. I’m amazed! Buy this magic miracle.

I had been looking for a suit like this for years but never knew what to look for! I saw a lady at my gym wearing one similar and asked her where she got it! She told me what to Google and hey presto, I found it. The other reviews were helpful if deciding which one to order. I possibly could have got away with one size smaller than I ordered but I expect it will shrink a little when washed over and over. It just arrived in the mail and, although I haven't been for a swim in it yet, I have tried it on and it is so very comfortable. I could easily wear this in the gym before going into to the pool.I'm a little on the heavy side, so it covers up well and doesn't make me feel at all self conscious of my size - in fact, I would say that it immediately gave me more confidence and I can't wait to go for a swim now. I love the fact that it has sun protection built in and I will definitely be wearing it on holiday; I may even order a second one very soon!! All in all, I would say that I am delighted with my purchase.

I have been trying for awhile to get this same item from a competitor, but they never have it in stock... so I tried this item instead (I was desperate as summer was coming). Well, I was pleasantly surprised. I don't normally write reviews (I know, I should because I read them all the time), but this one definitely deserved it. I am going to be completely up front in the hopes it will help someone else like me... I am a plus sized woman with a large chest (40HH). I also do NOT like traditional bathing suits and wanted "shorts" attached. I like to wear a pair of swim trunks over my suits and didn't like the rubbing from traditional suits. This suit not only takes care of the rubbing on my legs, BUT also, I am able to wear a bra under it and the back, front, and sides are up high enough that you can't even see I am wearing it. The fabric and lining are a bit thick, but that is OK. I feel covered and comfortable and that is all I care about.

I received the suit yesterday, so have not taken it into the water yet. I found the sizing from Dolphin to be a bit confusing, so I think I could have gone one size smaller and the fit would have been a bit better. The legs are a little loose for me on the suit, but I carry my weight more in my stomach than legs.. I will see how this works in water and holds up. The suit I have right now has been used almost 3 times a week for about 20 months now and is okay on the outside, but the liner is breaking up. I bought that suit from another company, but could not replace it from them. I think an improvement on the sizing information might be helpful for buying this suit. My daughters swam competitively and it was a bit easier to figure out the size in their suits. This is lined nicely, but I will see how it holds up to use.

Like many buyers of this product, I felt I needed greater modesty. I am a size 20, sixtyish granny who swims weekly, often weakly. It is really important to note that this is an athletic suit. The bust cookies and tummy control/power net that come standard for middle-age or queen size swimsuits are not part of this design. For the most part, the wearer's actual form is visible. This was a little disorienting . . . until I put it on! There was subtle, but noticeable slimming offered by a monochrome suit that elongated my appearance. It was comfortable and fit like a second skin in the water, allowing me to do absolutely whatever I pleased. It was lined and modest in spite of its lack of ladylike camouflage. In black, it minimized what a lot of women my age were taught to consider "flaws" but I felt like I was totally rocking it, and this was empowering. A total blast to wear, with no need whatsoever to order a mask and cape to complete the look.

I am using this for open water swimming and in-pool training for outdoor events. I LOVE this suit! I had a similar style of suit a few years ago, but it was so uncomfortable because the seams at the bottom of the thigh felt like they cut into my legs. This Dolphin shit does not cause sausage leg! I did size up one size, but I think even my true size would have fit great. I could move freely, the suit is full coverage, and it dried very quickly. I'm so glad I tried it!
