Good that it is simple, but it doesn't get into enough detail and leaves too many questions unanswered.

I found this book to be very informative, even for a non-oilfield person like myself. I have a good understanding of what it takes to find & produce oil & natural gas.

Great book with lots of pictures to illustrate points and equipments.

I am not reading this book, but sent it to a friend who is considering going into the oil drilling business. He reports it is a great book.

solid primer on oil drilling

As a great fan of books that tries to never miss an opportunity to buy and read them I have to say that this one is really something. The book provides a very deep insight into the issue of oil and gas drilling and it is written in a language that is very easy to understand. It is divided to logical chapters starting with introductory and history of drilling to the very process according to the modern practice (with respect to the year of issue of the book). The only downside is the price, however, if I had the opportunity again I would not hesitate.
