Palram Hybrid Greenhouse, 6' Wide x 10' Long, Limited Edition with Dark Grey Frame

I love it! My husband put it together in an afternoon. We removed sod and put down an old tarp we had and covered with crushed stone and it was framed with 6×10 boards. The greenhouse was mounted to frame and we also purchased the tie down kit for it. I planted alot of seeds both vegetables and flowers and some popped up in 2 days. I purchased shelves and put those in and i will be ordering hanging basket hooks. It looks amazing! Hope you enjoy it. Thank you

I do wish there could be a way to put screen up by the ceiling vent and I did improvise a method to add screen to the front opening. Other than that, I am really pleased with the construction.

My husband and father-in-law bought this for me for my birthday so the verified purchase will be on my husbands amazon account. I swear, we do own it! I love it! First full 24 hours with it assembled and I couldn't be more excited! It took the two of us less than 6 hours to assemble, that's including breaks and general slacking off. I was looking at the standard green or silver ones but then saw this limited edition grey version. Not only is it a greenhouse which is just awesome on its own, it's a nice color! I dig the charcoal grey frame, it's cohesive with our style and any additional dark colors I can get in and around the greenhouse to act as passive solar heat, I'm in! Maybe it will help, maybe not but it doesn't hurt either way.The greenhouse arrived pretty quickly. It was ordered in July and my husband was told 'they'd' (we really don't know who 'they' are, Palram?) call with a delivery date/time. "They" never called but one day the UPS guy showed up with two big blue boxes. Not that we care that they call or not, we just didn't know it was coming UPS and were kind of um...is this real? Did you order a greenhouse from Amazon or did you totally just get scammed by a fake amazon page pretending to sell greenhouses? No scam and it showed up in about a week! When ordered it was stated it would be 4-6 weeks so that was a pretty awesome surprise. Not that we were ready to install it or anything.The boxes aren't too bad, you get two. One long one with the frame and one short one with the panels. The frame is aluminum so it's not super heavy, one person can easily move each one. I'm way out of shape and weigh no more than a soaking wet cat and I was able to move them both on my own. Fear not if you're worried you can't! Well, some people can't so I totally get it but if you think you can't but you actually can, you totally can.I'm super organized so before we got started I laid all the parts out in order in their prospective numbered piles, that was a big help in quickly getting us up and running. Almost all of the pieces have little stickers with numbers on them, they do make it pretty easy for you. My husband who normally rolls his eyes at my tendency to be annoyingly organized did comment that it made the process really smooth. We did notice a few of the pieces were bent and dinged a bit, makes sense they would be. The packaging is anything but padded and protective so you'll probably see this too. Nothing major and anything that caused issues was easily hammered or pulled out. I highly recommend checking your pieces before putting the panels in or you'll have a tug-of-war with the panels trying to get them out so you can straighten the bent piece.The directions are a bit intimidating when you first look at the closed book, it's huge! But then you open it and quickly see it's basically a giant Ikea manual. If you can put a square peg into a square hole, you have everything you need to assemble this greenhouse. They even include this strange handy tool to tighten the bolts. My husband used power tools, I used the weird pipe they included. I beat him every time.I purchased one of those automatic vent openers and we installed that instead of the cheap plastic manual vent opener that comes with it. Highly recommend doing that while you're installing your greenhouse and not waiting until further on down the line. You'll want to use the bolts that come with the greenhouse, especially if you're using a non-Palram brand vent opener like we did. Sumnacon Solar Heat Sensitive Automatic Greenhouse Vent Opener Auto Vent Kit for all Palram Greenhouses (Single Spring Vent Opener) No modifications will be necessary, all you'll need to do is screw it right into the tracks, adding some of your own washers. If you wait and lose the left over bolts that come with the greenhouse (which you'll never find at a hardware store), you may need to drill holes in the frame to make it work, something we wanted to avoid. The only downside with the vent window itself is it's wide open. I'm going to fashion a screen to cover the vent next spring to help keep pest bugs out, will have to pollenate manually but it will be worth it. Something mounted with magnets should work great. The beauty of having an aluminum frame!Speaking of magnets, the door is held open with a little magnet, pretty handy! You can mount it to swing in either direction but decided before assembling the door frame which direction you want it to swing. The directions show the hinge holes to the right. If you just keep moving along and not pay attention, you'll install the door with the hinges to the right and if that's not what you want, you'll have to take that frame section apart to rebuild. This isn't the door itself, this is the frame that is attached to the greenhouse. It's easy enough to do, just something I noticed to plan ahead for while 'reading' through the directions.To secure the greenhouse in place we mounted it directly to a cedar deck. The base of the greenhouse has holes so attaching it to a surface is pretty simple. With the addition of some weather stripping (you'll find little places that aren't quite closed off to the outside that need some sealing) and passive and direct heating, we should have some decent growing conditions this winter. Left as is, it would make a great cold frame greenhouse in our growing area.It also has a nice little gutter system that hooks directly to a 1" irrigation line (not included). It's great they have this little detail, just about any basic drip irrigation system will work beautifully and like a standard house gutter system, it allows you to direct the water away from the foundation and into a rain barrel or passive solar heating system if you want.Looking forward to seeing how this holds up over time and what kind of food we can get out of it throughout the year.

Ich habe dieses Gewächshaus an einem Tag aufbauen können. Erschrocken war ich über den Fundamentrahmen, der keine Möglichkeit bietet einbetoniert zu werden. Ich habe hier 6 Gewindestangen angebracht und den Rahmen dann mit Schnellzement im Boden verankert. Vom Hersteller ist vorhesehen, dass der Rahmen mit Heringen im Boden verankert wird, dies ist meiner Meinung nach nicht ausreichend, bei unseren stürmischen Windverhältnissen im Norden. Sollte eine Betonplatte vorhanden sein, kann der Rahmen jedoch einfach mit Dübeln und Schrauben am Boden befestigt werden.Hat man dies geschafft und ist mit Aufbauanleitungen von Ikea usw. vertraut, ist der Aufbau des Gewächshauses gut beschrieben. Für unerfahrene ist der der Aufbau allerdings nicht sehr einfach.Anfangs ist die gesamte Konstruktion sehr wackelig, Windstille sollte daher auf jeden Fall beim Aufbau vorhanden sein. Mit jedem Aufbauschritt wird die Konstruktion stabiler. Am Ende macht das Gewächshaus einen sehr stabilen Eindruck. Und von der Optik her bin ich begeistert, aber dies ist ja Geschmackssache.Die Klarsichtscheiben sind sehr dünn, mal sehen, wie sich die Haltbarkeit über dei Jahre hier entwickelt.

Negativ: Das Einfachste am Aufbau war das Einbetonieren des Fundamentes aus Randsteinen. Auf letzteres wird der hauchdünne Blechrahmen verdübelt. Ohne ordentliches Fundament fliegt die Bude weg. Der Rest ist Fummelei vom Feinsten. 3 erwachsene Männer haben 4 Stunden montiert und sich über die "Mutti" lustig gemacht die das Ding angeblich mit ihren drei Kindern rucki zucki aufgebaut hat.Der erste Versuch mit meiner besseren Häfte wurde 2 Wochen vorher wegen zu starkem Wind abgebrochen. Das Material ist nämlich so dünn das es erst am Schluss seine Stabilität erhält. Entsprechend habe ich meine Zweifel das die Tür lange im Rahmen hält. Gleiches gilt für das Dachfenster.Positiv: Der optische Eindruck ist ok, es sieht wertig aus. Die sehr dünnen Plexiglassfenster haben ein formgepresstes Profil das für die nötige Stabilität sorgt. Sie erinnern an die Plastik-Verpackungen die man ohne Säge und Risse an den Fingern nicht aufbekommt. Wann die UV Belastung die Scheiben stumpf bersten läßt werden wir dann sehen und hoffen das man die dann noch nachkaufen kann.Die Größe mit 3m x1,85m empfinden wir als Einsteiger ausreichend genug.Tip: Das Fundament mit den Randsteinen etwa 10cm-15cm aus dem Rasen ragen lassen. Dann stößt man sich beim Einstieg nicht die Rübe.Fazit: Aufbau nur mit ausreichend manpower zu empfehlen. Eine gewisse Langlebigkeit spreche ich dem Häuschenallerdings jetzt schon ab.Würde es aus diesem Grund so schnell nicht noch einmal aufbauen. Aber vielleicht irren wir uns ja. Das Gemüse gedeiht jedenfalls prächtig und dicht ist es auch.

Das Gewächshaus wurde in zwei Paketen von unterschiedlichen Spediteuren geliefert. Da ging schon einiges schief. Während die Scheiben recht schnell und ohne Probleme geliefert wurden, gab es mit der Lieferung der Gestänge große Probleme.Ich habe mir ein Fundament aus Randsteinen 1000x300x80, die ich auf einen Betonfuß gesetzt habe, gebaut und den Rahmen aufgeschraubt.Die Aufbauanleitung war sehr gut beschrieben und ich habe alles alleine in ca. 8 Stunden (ohne Fundament) aufgebaut. Verwirrt hatten mich nur die Anzahl der Paneele, bis ich begriffen habe, dass ich die Hybridausführung habe. Die Verarbeitung und Passgenauigkeit war ebenfalls sehr gut.Einige Schwachstellen gibt es aber zu benennen. Die acht Querstreben sind einfach zu dünn und können kaum ihren Zweck erfüllen. Schon bei leichtem Wind haben sie sich verbogen. Ich habe sie durch Flacheisen 20x4mm ersetzt.Das Dachfenster ist aber die schwächste Stelle der Konstruktion. Bei stärkerem Wind wurde es aus dem viel zu schwachen Scharnier gehebelt und hing nur noch an dem automatischen Öffner, den ich mir dazu gekauft habe. Wenn ich rechtzeitig merke, dass starker Wind aufkommt, werde ich es wohl festschrauben müssen.Für windige freie Lagen ist es glaube ich nicht so geeignet. Aber genau da steht es bei mir. Für geschützte Standorte kann man es gut empfehlen. Vier Wochen steht es nun schon bei mir.

Habe das Haus Freitags bekommen . Als Fundament habe ich einen 8 cm Kantenstein genommen , der auch gleich als Schutz vor Maulwürfen und Wühlmäusen dienen soll . Der Aufbau des Hauses hat ca 9 Stunden gedauert , weil die Aufbauanleitung fehlte und ich sie erst im Internet suchen und ausdrucken musste . Das Haus ist sehr stabil und hat schon den ersten Sturm unbeschadet überstanden . Habe ihnen an den Schienen Halterungen für Balkonkästen angebracht ,damit ich mehr Möglichkeiten zum bepflanzen hab . Ist für mich ne günstigere Alternative zum Regal .2 Ratschläge an alle ,die sich auch ein Gewächshaus in den Garten setzen wollen :1. Nicht bei Sonnenschein aufbauen . Wenn man zum Schluss die Feinheiten erledigt wird es sehr schnell sehr warm im Haus , was keinen Spass macht .2. Ein kleines Gefälle nach hinten ist sinnvoll , damit Regenwasser nach hinten ablaufen kann . Dort sind Anschlüsse für einen Schlauch ,mit denen man das Wasser auffangen kann .Fazit : mit dem Haus kann man nichts falsch machen .

das Gewächshaus ist nur auf geschützten Flächen brauchbar. unseres ist bei starken Wind aus der Verankerung im Betonfundament gerissen und in Nachbars Garten gelandet. Ein erneutes aufbauen ist nicht möglich weil die Profile viel zu schwach sind.

Das Gewächshaus sieht gut aus und ist stabil, das Zusammenbauen nimmt aber schon mehr als einen Tag in Anspruch, die Anleitung ist aber klar und gut verständlich. Leider waren einige Plastikteile wie der Regenwasserabfluss kaputt, aber alles in allem ist ein Kauf empfehlenswert!

Aufbau zu Zweit in zeitlichen Rahmen nach Aufbauanleitung. Ein Fenster an der hinteren Giebelseite wäre neben dem Dachfenster zum Lüften ideal. Mal schauen wie es im Winter ausschaut. Nicht ganz billig aber trotzdem zu empfehlen.

Nachdem, wir einen Pavillon von Palram gekauf, aufgebaut und für absolut Perfekt befunden haben haben wir uns beim Kauf des Gewächshauses vom Namen verleiten lassen. Leider ist die Qualität des Gewächshauses nicht mit der des Pavillons zu vergleichen. Das Material ist deutlich weniger massiv, der Grundrahmen ist aus erschreckend dünnem Blech, die Ecken nur mit Kunststoffformteilen verbunden. Das Material der Scheiben ist aus sehr dünnem (völlig klarem) Kunststoff und wackelt bei kleinstem Windstoß im Rahmen. Leider ist die Passform der Scheiben teilweise auch mangelhaft, an einigen Stellen passen Rahmen und Scheibe nicht richtig zusammen. Treffend heißt es hier: "klemmt, wackelt und hat Luft " leider ohne daß es richtig paßt.Die Dachplatten sind aus (leicht getönten) Doppelstegplatten, diese passen eng in die Rahmen sind aber in sich so instabil, dass auch hier eine Windstoß alles erzittern lässt.Der Aufbau nach Anleitung stellt kein Problem dar, solange die Teile alle noch richtig markiert sind. In unserem Teilekarton waren einige der Nummerschilder (wie Preisaufkleber) abgelöst und lagen lose im Karton oder hefteten an offensichtlich falschen Teilen. Der ganze Aufbau dauerte (alleine) einen Nachmittag und war ein kleines Puzzlespiel, teilweise etwas knifflig zum "Fingerverbiegen".Bei dem Preis hatte ich eine bessere Qualität erwartet und hätte bei Nichtbeachtung des Namens sicherlich auch ein anderes Gewächshaus gekauft.Nachdem es nun auf einem extra angefertigten Grundrahmen verankert ist sind wir doch noch zufrieden mit dem Gewächshaus. An einigen Stellen werde ich die Scheiben noch mit Silikon am Rahmen fixieren, dann sollte auch das klapper nde Geräusch der Vergangenheit angehören.

Das Frühbeet ist sehr robust. Bis jetzt hat es noch jede heftige Sturmböe überstanden.Die Tomatenpflanzen und andere Pflanzen wachsen und gedeihen wunderbar darin.Wenn man ein wenig handwerklich Geschickt ist kann man die Anleitung gut in die Tat umsetzen.

beim Aufbau wirkt das Gewächshaus etwas wackelig, aber es ist sehr leicht aufzubauen. Ich habe mit drei Kindern circa 3 Stunden gebraucht und es steht wunderbar stabil ohne große vorherige Vorbereitung. Ich finde, dass das Gewächshaus gut verarbeitet ist und würde eventuell noch eines kaufen.
