Going through a tough time and I’m not sleeping well, I’m sad, depressed and anxious. My friend recommended a weighted blanket. I immediately took it out of the package laid down with it, folded in half and placed it lengthwise over my body, and I was immediately calmer. It actually helped me feel grounded. It’s the only way I can explain it. The pressure was absolutely perfect against my body and now I don’t know how long I’ve lived without one. The weight is evenly distributed, it’s high-quality and the fabric is soft. The color is exactly as pictured and I’m using the 48 x 72 as a throw blanket I can use on my bed or on the couch or on my lap. The material feels high-quality like this will last for a long time and for the price, it just can’t be beat. I have to say I really like this size because I can fold it in half and increase the weight and use it in different areas of my home. It doesn’t feel too hot, but I am a hot sleeper so I’m not the best judge.

I have wanted a weighted blanket for a while but wasn't sure about the different brands or weights. My son recently asked for this one. The day it arrived I immediately tried it. OMG! I was sold. I bought one for myself along with a cover. My husband and I have a king size bed and ordinarily use separate blankets. The size of the blanket is perfect for my side of the bed. It is a bit under 10% of my body weight but I think it is perfect. It is not too heavy. The blanket, before I put it in the duvet, was soft and the color was as shown. I do not have anxiety, ADHD or any of the other conditions that people speak of a weighted blanket helping. I am a 61 year old mom and wife with a full time job who just feels better and sleeps better with this blanket. The blanket does not make me feel hot/cold at night. I am so pleased with this product that I recommend it all the time! The price cannot be beaten, believe me I research products 6 ways to Sunday before I buy. I agree with other reviews that the small squares are a definite plus. I cannot imagine how the weight would be evenly distributed without. I will without hesitation buy it again and again.

I purchased the 15 lb weighted blanket in the individual size, and I’m so glad I chose this option instead of a larger queen-size blanket. The smaller size is much more versatile—I can use it while sleeping, for naps on the couch, or even as a decorative throw layer on top of my bed. I also bought a silky weighted blanket cover for it, and together they look beautiful. It took about three nights to fully adjust to the weight, but once I got used to it, the difference was incredible. Before using this blanket, I didn’t always get the best quality sleep. Now, I sleep much more deeply and comfortably. In fact, it’s become harder to get out of bed in the mornings because I’m so cozy and relaxed! The quality is excellent. One feature I really appreciate is the small stitched pockets that keep the weight evenly distributed throughout the blanket. The filling stays in place, so there are no heavy or light spots. Another detail I love is that the blanket includes multiple corner and side ties around the perimeter. These ties attach to a duvet or blanket cover and help keep everything securely in place. My cover doesn’t shift or bunch up, which makes a big difference in everyday use. I was initially worried that a weighted blanket would be too hot, especially during warmer weather, but that hasn’t been my experience at all. It feels surprisingly breathable and comfortable without making me sweat or overheat. Overall, this has been one of the best purchases I’ve made for improving my sleep. If you’re considering a weighted blanket, I highly recommend it.

I have ADHD and anxiety, so I was really hoping this would help me sleep! One of the most disruptive manifestations of my ADHD is that I get really weirdly sensitive when I'm trying to sleep. I have to be very firmly cocooned so that my fingers/toes don't twitch, and I can't have any part of my body directly touching (skin to skin) any part of my torso because when I breathe and my torso expands/contracts, it will touch/not touch/touch/not touch and that keeps me awake. The same exact problem has been really difficult for me with blankets/clothing I wear to sleep. If my inhale breath makes my chest/abdomen/back touch anything it's not still touching on the exhale, then that sort of repeated "tapping" sensation keeps me awake. I was hoping that the weighted blanket would help me with this problem! Theoretically, since it's so heavy, it would rise and fall with my breath and conform beautifully to my body, right? Not so much. The blanket actually is almost stiff, in a way, so there were definite pockets of air that formed between my exhale/inhale. I don't know how to describe what I mean, but hopefully someone out there understands what I'm saying, haha. I also experienced some personal quirk related irritation with the blanket that the "pockets" of beads were so large? So the beads would all kind of fall to one end of the pocket and sometimes this made certain areas of it feel uneven on me. I also feel like this blanket was either too heavy or too light for me, which was frustrating and confusing. I really wanted it to be heavier on my legs and abdomen/around my sides, but it felt almost too heavy when it was pulled up to my neck/collarbone. Another thing I noticed was it really seems to hold the ambient temperature of the room. So if your room is chilly, the blanket will be COLD. I had to have a blanket between me and the weighted blanket because the weighted blanket was literally sucking all my body heat out and I was freezing. I imagine the opposite problem might be an issue in the summer, especially if you don't have A/C (like me). What it DID do for me, was gave my feet something to rest/brace against, which helps them twitch less and helps alleviate the restless leg syndrome feeling I get pretty often. So that was definitely a nice effect. I also really appreciate the long return period. That is definitely the company doing a solid by their customers, so I am a huge fan of that. I have decided to return this because I have ended up not really using it after the first week and a half or so. It doesn't quite work as well (for ME) as I had hoped and it keeps falling off the bed anyway, and it's heavy enough that pulling it back up is a huge pain, haha. I'm thinking of maybe making some sort of weighted mini-blanket I can put down by my feet so I can continue to have that pleasant well-braced feeling for something to press my feet against/into.

Great blanket! Has the small squares as recommended for smooth, even coverage and feels cool. I used it as recommended with it on lower body first and moving it up as I adjusted to it. I sleep so well with it. I got the twin size as I just want it on my body not the whole bed and then I can use as a lap blanket other times.

I'm almost positive I bought 3 in the span of a week because people keep trying it and trying to take mine. I got one for myself and my partner liked it so much he got one of his own. We loved them and sleep with them every night. I also got one for my mother and she loves using it. It can get a little warm on hot nights, but it perfect weight and calms my anxiety so much. It's a great price, as many others are way more expensive. I think the first two I got were on sale as well. It looks perfect on the bed and is honestly one of my favorite purchases. I recommend weighted blankets to everyone and now I have a brand specifically to reccomend.

Update 9/4/18: Because I love this blanket so much, and did feel I could use more weight, I ordered a 2nd blanket less than two weeks later. The new one is the same excellent quality, but arrived in a different shade of gray, so I've posted a picture so you can see the difference (and that the squares are 6" as stated). The 1st one was a neutral to slightly warm mid-tone gray, the 2nd one is a more blue toned gray (I'm sorry I couldn't capture the exact colors, but you can see the difference). Fortunately I am using them on top of each other, but if I had wanted to use them side by side I would have been disappointed. I'm bringing this up because if you will be using them side by side, I recommend buying them both at the same time since the fabric may come from different dye lots. I do love the extra weight, and don't find the 30lbs to be too heavy for me, but it definitely makes it warmer, so I have to leave the fan on or turn down the thermostat to stay comfortable in the summer. It will be great for winter! Original Review: I have always loved the feeling of heavy blankets and comforters piled on top of me, but it's too hot in the summer to do that. I was thrilled to find that a weighted blanket was actually "a thing", and I can use it in the summer without getting too warm! After looking at many weighted blankets, I chose this one for the great reviews on the quality, the price, and that it had glass beads instead of plastic for the weight. I originally wanted a 20lb blanket, but due to the price difference, and the fact that I didn't even know if I would like it, and with the idea I could add another blanket for additional weight in the future, I went with the 48"x72" 15lb. It feels heavy when you handle it, but it is not at all uncomfortable to sleep under. In fact, I think I am sleeping much better, since I often wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back to sleep, and that hasn't happened since I started using this blanket about a week ago. The blanket itself is a super soft cotton, and the beads make no noise at all. The weight seems to be evenly distributed and the quality is excellent. It comes in a very nice box that would be a lovely presentation if you are giving this blanket as a gift. At this point the only con I can see is that it must be dry cleaned, but since I use it on top of a sheet, that shouldn't be a problem. All in all this blanket has been one of the best purchases I have ever made!

UpDATE: Nov 12: Sadly, it's packed away. Twin size is 38 inches wide. At average weight of 150 pounds I have the recommended weight blanket. I found even with rolling a bit side to side to "tuck" it around me, it is just a bit too wide to keep on a twin bed. I didn't initially. I have seriously considered double stitching and cutting it down some. BUT CAUTION: the main reason I took it off is the weight! I'm going to be looking into getting a kids blanket - as in 8-10 pounds. My bro-n-law just went to a twin bed. Now his blanket is ending up on the floor as well. The concept is great. But I think allowances need to be made for smaller size to keep it on a smaller bed AND for us older peeps that don't have the strength to deal with the weight. So far, my sister is still using her blanket on a Queen size bed. I am NOT changing my 5 star rating. Those 2x2 pockets keep it well distributed. * * * * * My bro-n-law has a weighted blanket (sis had made for him). After a year of moving it around to wash bedding I started thinking about getting one at Cmas when Penny's had sale. I finally ordered TWO! Giving 1 to sis (she didn't have 1 yet bcs too costly. THESE were great at $65! (Compare to the $200 Gravity) The small squares were the deciding point. Think about it a minute - keeps the fill nicely in place. I've had good sleep since the 1st night! I can't recall the last time I remembered dreaming. I have dreamt every night in the week I've had this blanket! Before I was waking every 1-3 hours. Now pretty much sleep through the night. I WAS A SIDE SLEEPER. Now with a pillow under my knees 3 nights, I'm fine. The pillow stays there til wash day. TODAY I PUT THE DUVET on. Yes, I think the ones with the side zipper would be easier but this wasn't bad. Just turn inside out and start at the top and work from side to side. Take a little care closing the zipper as the ties are close to it - 2 of the 4 were gently coaxed past the tie. (I did tight bows.) I have it between the sheet and comforter. Might just put a duvet on my comforter as well to protect from dog hair. Note: I have back issues from a couple of nursing home injuries. It's heavy enough but at this time I can manage. I don't think I the covers get as messed up as they used to! While doing this review it occurred to me I'm not feeling what had become the usual "ready for a nap" at 2pm! It's worth a try! I've been searching for goose down duvets and wool blankets since I was a child, anything I could pile on my bed to give that weighty, tucked-in feeling. So when I discovered "weighted blankets" were a thing, I had to try it. I'm really impressed with the quality for the cost, the seams are sturdy on both the edges and the quilting, the fabric is durable and tightly woven without feeling overly thick, and no beads or sand has leaked out. I went for the 60x80 25lb blanket knowing it was just for me and its nice and roomy. If you plan to share with a partner I would definitely size up or buy two, though. I also sleep quite warm, so I was very happy that this blanket was sufficiently heavy without making me sweat all night. This is my first weighted blanket and I've only had it about two weeks, but so far I would say this has definitely helped with my quality of sleep. I sleep longer and even the nights where I can't sleep longer I feel more rested. My plan was to just try this blanket out and if I didn't like it, return it. But I'm keeping it. Well worth the price.

重さを感じれる掛け布団がほしくて購入しました。 控えめに言って冬場に使うなら最強の掛け布団です。 寝相があまり良くなく、掛け布団がどっかに行って寒くて起きてしまうことがあるのですが、これに変えてからは一度も起きませんでした。 部屋を掃除する際など、持ち上げるとかなり重いのでそこだけ注意です。 持ち上げると普通に筋トレできるくらい重いです。
