This fan is great. 3 speeds: low, medium and high and they're great. I just used this for a weekend get-away and I loved it! I'm that person that has a fan on 365 days a year, so it served its purpose. It has an "oscillate" button ... it doesn't actually oscillate but does provide you with that sound (quietly) if that's something you like. For me, it was well worth the $. My only "complaint" if you can even call it that, is they show the carry case with the "sleepy moon" emblem on it and it's not. But the fact that it has a carry case and fits into your luggage without taking up much room, is really all that matters. Well worth the price.

I love this fan! Have been traveling the world with it for almost 2 years. I sleep with a very loud large fan at home but if you turn this to max it works quite well. It's also good for some air circulation in stuffy hotel rooms. I was once in Germany and my room had sliding patio doors and couldn't leave them open at night. The fan helped with enough circulation in the room so I could breathe better and not get so hot. I like the case that it comes in, too.

After working shift work for many years, I've become accustomed to sleeping with a fan in the room a) for the white noise and b) to drown out outside sounds. Since I was so used to this, traveling without some kind of sound became problematic. I tried several sound machines and several sleep apps on my iPad and nothing fit the bill. Before my recent trip to the UK, I was determined to find the right travel item. Boy, did I find it. I will NEVER travel without my Snooze Fan again. Not only does it provide a means of drowning out street/hotel noise, but it actually gives a good breeze in those European hotels with little or no air conditioning. AND it's light and small enough to pack in my suitcase for every trip. Would definitely buy this again.UPDATE— 5 years later, i’m STILL using this thing and I still love it. Not only is the white noise great, but the breeze from it has saved us numerous times. I WILL buy another, if this one ever quits.

It is nice, has several speeds and is pretty compact, coming with a convenient case to store it in, but the durability of the device itself makes it less than useless. It may claim to be a travel fan, but it lasted one trip and then got accidentally knocked over and failed to work. Travel is not kind to devices and they must be able to withstand at least a little abuse. For me, this one fell on its back, causing the power connection to become so loose that it wouldn't make the connection and ceased to operate no matter how I tried to adjust the cord. You can buy something much more durable with a wired in cord for less than half what this thing costs and it will last you years. (My last travel fan cost $9 and worked for about 5 years making multiple international trips.If you really think you have to have it, buy the warranty so you can replace it when it fails. Otherwise, steer clear of this shoddy fan and buy something else.

What a clever use for a super-sized computer fan! I am impressed someone thought it out & followed it through the design & implementation phase so that I can own one. It is the perfect solution for those needing white noise. Nothing this small is going to move all the air around a room, so if being hot is your problem, this is not your best product. This is called "snooze" fan for a reason - it drowns out environmental noises so you can sleep. I just used it for the past four days in a hotel where the people next door had a small, babbling, squealing baby & a little yippy dog. I slept just fine. Prior to my purchasing this fan, I would on-line order a 9" fan at a big-box home improvement store at my destination. Drive directly from the airport, buy the fan, use it on the trip, and leave it in the final hotel room. Or try to round up a box fan in Europe...which is a lesson in futility. Now, I've got a neat little package in a travel case that slips right in my suitcase & works with any foreign plug adapter. As another reviewer said, if you point it directly at yourself, and turn it on high, it will provide a little bit of cooling - it is a fan after all - but mainly it's designed to produce white noise.

Bought this for when we travel. We sleep with fans at home, both for the air flow and white noise, and sometimes when we are in hotel rooms the quiet and lack of air flow can be hard to sleep without. I saw this fan and bought it for my wife, who is especially sensitive to this. I was worried for the size, it might not be adequate, but she loves it! It pushes a good amount of air, and the noise is very pleasant - not harsh, not too loud, but loud enough to be a very capable white noise provider in addition to moving air. She raves about it, and it might be one of the best presents I have ever got her - which either says a lot about this fan, or my gift giving...I will let you decide :).

This fan is perfect for travel and fits so nice in a carry on or suitcase. The first one I ordered came broken but it appeared to be from the post office as the package was taped a lot and I called Amazon. I informed them I was leaving for vaca on Wednesday (received package at 3pm Monday) and within 10 min the owner of tr snooze fan company called me and had a new one overnighted to me which I received the next day by 3pm. The customer service was awesome and I feel that's hard to come by these days. Anyway the new fan came in a much better package not loaded with tape and the fan works great!

The fan has only gone on 2 trips with me and now I have to hit it a bunch of times and jiggle the cord to get it to work. Pretty disappointed. The fan noise is not as loud as I was hoping. The only nice part is the carrying case and the look of the fan.
