DM-50D-BT 5-inch Active Monitor Speakers, Bluetooth, Pair

I know these speakers can be used for DJ but they are terrific just as a desktop upgrade to the speakers inside my desktop Mac. I finally got tired of the thin sound from my computer, especially when i discovered a fantastic online radio station (WWOZ-New Orleans). I searched product review sites and finally came across these solid speakers. They don''t take up much space, came in at a much lower price than many I looked at and, now that I've had them a while, I think they're a downright bargain. Suddenly am actually hearing solid bass, beautiful high notes and a solid and fulsome sound throughout. Setup is super easy but two tips if, like me, you're almost a complete idiot: 1. There are plastic sheaths covering the ends of the speaker wire that go to the speakers. You have to REMOVE these sheaths. Pioneer would have saved me several hours of frustration if the instructions simply said this. 2. You have a switch that requires a choice of either DJ or production. I discovered elsewhere that you choose production for anything other than dj use. All-in-all, a wonderful purchase.

I love these speakers. They arrived yesterday and I set them up today, Friday 7/24/26. The sound fills my bedroom nicely with decent low-end. Understand that the woofers are 5 inches wide, so they're not gonna make the walls in your home rattle. They're very punchy, however. I keep the volume knob at the 12 O'clock position and control the volume on my computer. They're pretty great for everything you want to do, except for a house party. Honestly, I would get one of those JBL Party Box speakers for that. I also keep the DJ / Production switch set to DJ just to get a bit of extra low-end. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I found out about this speaker through a friend. He invited me over and was showing me some music and I was hooked! I purchased my one as soon as I got home. Music is an important part of my life and I decided that it was worth it to finally spend the money for nice speakers like these. This speaker seriously elevates my space I love it. It can go super loud. I’ve personally never turned it all the way up. So I’m not even sure how loud it can go exactly, but I like loud music and am constantly having mini concerts and didn’t need it louder so take that for what it’s worth. The base is good, all the songs I’ve played especially my EDM all sounded amazing. like I was back at a rave. I like the color, the black looks sleek. It was packaged well and was super easy to put together. Overall a good purchase. I chose to do mine in payments. Getting approved for that was super easy also. Highly recommend these speakers ✨

Only negative is the speakers will power off if there isn't any audio after a little while, takes a few seconds to come back on. Annoying.

I really like that I can plug in a lot of different things simultaneously, and they all work without resorting to mixers, switches, etc. Right now I have my computer DAC connected via 2 TRS cables, an Echo Spot connected via the 3.5 mm jack, and my phone connected via Bluetooth. They all work simultaneously, and it's very, very smooth. I chose these speakers because I am interested in digital music, and I like that I can switch off the "DJ mode" equalization to a flat "monitor" setting with a simple switch. I haven't used that feature much, but the sound difference is noticeable. If you're a music producer, I suspect that the ability to instantly create a flat output from your everyday speaks would be a big plus. The sound quality is very good, although not as good as the Klipsch PM 2.1 BTs that I'm replacing, probably due to the lack of a subwoofer. The Pioneers are more mid-rangy, not as much bass or super tight treble like the Klipsch. The Pioneers are much louder, though, so if you want to rock the party while still retaining the ability to master your own creations without unknown EQing, they're a good option.

Was super easy to unbox and assemble the parts to connect to my computer system. Very glad I took the chance to buy this for my home office. Really great sound. Especially Great for when I want to listen to music or take a break and watch a movie. Obviously great for YouTube videos as well!

These are GREAT speakers that function SUPER well. They're easy to set up and have really nice sound quality considering their smaller size. I use them for karaoke and I think they're a great value for this price point. Especially good for small settings. These are made for DJ's and I can say that I think it'd make a great entry level speaker for that.
