Is it ever too late to leave the friend zone? Discover the heartwarming friends to lovers romance that became a sensation on TikTok—now with a new chapter and a Q&A with the author! The friend zone is not the end zone for Bree Camden, who is helplessly in love with her longtime best friend and extremely hot NFL legend, Nathan Donelson. The only problem is that she can’t admit her true feelings, because he clearly sees her as a best friend with no romantic potential, and the last thing Bree wants is to ruin their relationship. But those abs . . . Nope! Nothing but good old-fashioned, no-touching-the-sexiest-man-alive, platonic friendship for Bree. In any case, she has other things to worry about. After a car accident ended her chance at becoming a professional ballerina, Bree changed paths and now owns her own dance studio, with big dreams to expand it. But one more rent increase could mean the end of the studio entirely. Then, as usual, Nathan comes to the rescue and buys the entire building. A stubborn Bree is not happy about it and decides to rebel with a couple—okay, maybe more than a couple—of tequila shots. Then her plan backfires as she spills her deepest, darkest secret to a TMZ reporter. One viral video later, the world thinks Nathan and Bree are the perfect couple. Before they can really talk about her confession, Nathan’s publicist proposes a big opportunity that could mean financial security for Bree. The catch? They have to pretend to be in love. For three whole weeks. What will happen when Bree gives in to the feelings she’s been desperately hiding for so long, and could she be imagining that Nathan is actually enjoying it? Sarah Adams scores more than touchdowns in this exciting romantic comedy. Review: Bree & Nathan have my whole heart! - "Girlfriends come and go in Nathan’s life like fad diets. Me, on the other hand—I was here long before two-faced Kelsey, and I’ll be here long after, because I am Nathan’s best friend. I’m the one who’s been through it all with him, and he’s been through it all with me." I've read Sarah Adams' rom-coms before and having read this book I can say that her writing is just getting better and better! When I first saw the book being announced, I wasn't really excited but reading the early reviews made me want to give it a try. This is a bestfriends to lovers, fake dating, slowburn and sports romance. "Bree’s warning tone, however, sounds as threatening as a cartoon baby bunny. Her eyes are big and sparkly and make me love her more." Bree Camden is hopelessly in love with her highschool bestfriend Nathan Donelson but is unable to express how she feels in fear that it would ruin their friendship. Little does she know that Nathan feels the same about her and only dates when she's in a relationship too. They both don't know how to get out of the ridiculous friendzone but when Bree blurts out what she really feels while being drunk in a bathroom to a gossip journalist, the whole world suddenly wants them to be together. "Nathan give everyone his business smile. It never reaches his eyes, and only I would know that, because now, he’s giving me his smile. The one I’ve seen since high school." While Nathan came from a rich background and plays as a quarterback for the NFL , Bree worked hard to earn everything in her life. She wanted to attend Julliard for ballet instead life gave her a real big setback when she got into a terrible accident that busted up her knee. Now Bree teaches Ballet to aspiring teenagers at her dance studio in LA and lives just five blocks away from Nathan. “It will be real.” She glares at me. “No. It. Won’t.” “My very real lips will be on your very real lips, Bree. That’s the very definition of real. It will not be in our heads.” Because of Bree's little stunt, Nathan's manager suggest them to fake date until a commercial shoot for four weeks and suddenly Nathan's hidden feelings start to come out. To say Bree was shocked by his sudden change of attitude was an understandment. And Oh my god, these two were adorable together! Them being obviously in love with each other since the beginning was just so cute. Bree was such a strong, fierce, hilarious and sassy little thing. I loved her with her whole set of insecurities and her unabashed clumsiness! Nathan was such a cinnamon roll. He was so swoony and the little things he did for Bree made me love him even more. But, I've got to say, when it came to noticing how the other feels about them, they were oblivious. Thanks to Nathan's teammates and Bree's sister, Lily to make them come to a realisation. Overall, everything about the book was perfect. There wasn't smut but even the slightest touches made me feel the burning tension between them. Bree & Nathan had a special connection and their intimacy just hit differently. They practically radiated soulmate vibes. The side characters really need their own books, I would definitely like to read more about them because I can't get enough. Pick the book up of you haven't yet because you definitely won't regret it! Review: I luv how casually this author writesssss - I give 4.5 stars to the novel and the 3 stars to the packaging, Seriously not acceptable, butt bree and nathannnn y'all have my heartttt

Nice Book
Good romcom.

It's fine.
The book is fine and a quick read if u don't leave it in between for weeks on end like I did. It's just a generic rom-com hallmark movie waiting to be made which is acknowledged in the book at one point atleast. The story references tiktok , do with that what you will. I think the target audience for this book was in mind even before the book was written. It has the 6'+ and " 5+ tiny, cute jumping on tables but still somehow has long legs" trope. But I would recommend it if you're looking for a cheesy, a little bit cringe but I guess "cute" best friends to lovers trope that doesn't hold any serious substance and is just a light read.

Perfect Romcom
Friends to lovers with fake dating, this book is at its best. "Hope is healthy. Even if you prepare yourself for the worst in life, it will never make the fall hurt less." Bree and Nathan have been friends since long and god they are frustratingly adorable. They have annoyed me so much with not sharing their feelings and ugh, guys you need to communicate. They love each other but don't show it, neither notice ways of other. This all hiding of feelings goes for a toss when Bree spills them out under the influence of tequila and she pours her heart out in front of a reporter. Great going Bree. Now they have to fake date for three weeks, talk about pressure. The pressure intensifies when Nathan starts showing his not so platonic side, which lights her in flames. Nathan is another book boyfriend added to the list. He is perfect. The side characters are super awesome, specially Nathan's teammates and Bree's sister. This slow burn story was super cute and swoon worthy. Sarah Adams has made me enjoy friends to lovers in a way I couldn't have believed. I enjoyed reading this fast paced, hilarious and chessy story. A perfect Rom-com.

Love is Friendship
5/5 Oh my gossshhhhh Since, I am really not into best-friends to lovers BUT I AM OBSESSED WITH NATHAN AND BREE. First, Nathan Donelson. You are the book boyfie everyone wants. Rich, flirty, softie and definitely not a play boy despite how fun and careless his life is. Second, Bree Cheese Camden is the funniest bestfriend and girlfriend evaa. She has the most wittiest comeback and is super adorable. I laughed in each chapter. It is hilariously sexy and sweet. This is the type of rom-com I prefer. Too underrated book I assume. I can give it a 100 ⭐️. Thats how much i loved it.

New fav author
I absolutely adored The Cheat Sheet. This book had me giggling like an actual crazy person while reading it, and honestly? I loved every second of it. Bree and Nathan were such lovable characters, and their relationship felt so wholesome, sweet, and genuinely romantic. I also really appreciated that this was a closed-door romance—it proves that you don’t need spice for a story to have chemistry, tension, and heart. Nathan is basically book boyfriend material from start to finish. The way he constantly asks, “Are you with me, Bree Cheese?” 🥹 Absolutely melted me every time. And Dylan? Everybody needs a Dylan in their life. End of discussion. I also loved all the millennial pop culture references, especially the Friends references—they made the characters and conversations feel even more fun and relatable. The romance in this book is so ridiculously sweet that at times it almost feels unreal, but in the best possible way. It’s comforting, funny, easy to read, and just makes you happy while reading it. Safe to say, I’ll definitely be reading more books by Sarah Adams

Such a fluffy romance that'll make you smile!
I could try to nitpick some bits, but sometimes you just have to embrace the fluffy romance and ride off into the sunset with it. That’s exactly what I did, with a goofy smile on my face. I pretty much read this in one sitting. Nathan was so incredibly sweet and so good for Bree, their relationship was precious, they were so good for each other, even if they were a tad childish at times. The ending was a little unnecessarily extra, but somehow it still worked.
