Mom's Best Honey Bran Just-Add-Water Muffin Mix (1 lb 7 oz-makes 12 high dome muffins)

The muffins are so worth the extra cost of shipping. I couldn't find anything similar nearby. So easy to prepare: just add water, bake, and serve. I like to add a little pumpkin spice seasoning: delicious!

I love how these muffins turn out. The package makes 12 of them. I add raisins. They come out perfectly—not too dry. Great for a snack or breakfast.

Not as good as expected, little taste

This is the best (wheat) bran muffin mix we could find. I don't know how many brands we tried most were at most mediocre but more often than not, pretty bad. Bran muffin mixes seem to have gone out of favor; we can't find any brand in the local grocery chains (besides some awful oat bran varieties). We have tried Mom's Best from Amazon for quite a while, always consistent, always fresh (and far from expiration) and of course, always very tasty. It bakes to a nice domed and slightly crunchy top. When we bake it (24 at a time, 2 bags), we 'boost' it up a bit with chopped pecans, chocolate chips, dried cranberries and an extra scoop of wheat bran, making it our morning breakfast staple. It freezes well, and 3 minutes in the convection oven brings it back (nearly) to fresh baked. Only caveat is the high shipping cost, no Prime available.As a note, our all-time favorite (Quaker Bran Muffin Mix) is for some inexplicable reason not available in the USA and the cost of shipping from Canada makes them prohibitively expensive. Mom's brand is on par and definitely gets our recommendation.

These bake up nice and are very filling and the bag does make quite a few. The price it somewhat high but they are worth it.
