Delivered fresh to your door, it’s the trusted choice for pet owners who demand quality and convenience. ## Description Timothy hay is an integral part of your small pet’s diet. It provides the necessary fiber to help prevent GI Stasis, wears down ever-growing teeth to protect against dental problems, and contains nutrients to keep your pet healthy and happy. Pets that thrive with Timothy hay include rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and even tortoises. 80% of your friend’s diet should be high-quality hay to promote dental and digestive health. Small Pet Select’s 1st Cut Timothy Hay is a perfect choice for adult small pets in need of a little extra care in their diet. It provides all of the fresh smell of our 2nd and 3rd cuts, but with an increased amount of stem for a helpful boost in fiber for happy tummies and texture to help wear down overgrown teeth to keep your little friend healthy. It still has a great amount of leaves and seed heads for a yummy blend of protein, fiber and fat. Our Timothy hay is grown in the US. Small Pet Select takes pride in being a member of the small pet community. We know and love our small friends and hand-pack boxes to make sure that your little buddies get exactly what they know and love. Because our boxed hay is carefully packed by hand, it maintains the integrity of the hay and leaf better than products compressed in plastic while minimizing dust that can bother people who are sensitive to grass allergens. Rabbits, guinea pigs and chinchillas should be offered fresh hay daily. This is particularly important to keep it smelling fresh (and yummy!). In addition to pets that require hay in their diet, others can benefit from Timothy hay to nest and play in, including hamsters, gerbils, mice, rats, ferrets and more. Regular deliveries of premium boxed hay from Small Pet Select are a convenient way to keep pets happy and thriving. ## Features - Higher Fiber And More Flower Heads Than Any Other Cutting; Has A Bit More Stem Than 2nd Cutting, But Still Very Soft And Leafy - Farm Fresh - The Best Hay Delivered Fresh To Your Doorstep - All Hays Are Not Created Equal And Quality Really Matters - We Focus On Is Getting The Best Hay For Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, And Chinchillas - Grown With Love In The USA ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Age Range Description | All Life Stages | | Animal Food Diet Type | Plant-Based | | Asin | B00WEJA7VW | | Brand Name | Small Pet Select | | Breed Recommendation | Small Breeds | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (437) 4.5 out of 5 stars | | Dog Breed Size | Small | | Flavor | Timothy Hay | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00743724126204 | | Item Form | Flake | | Item Weight | 9.07 kg | | Manufacturer | Small Pet Select | | Manufacturer Part Number | TIM1-020 | | Model Number | TIM1-020 | | Number Of Items | 1 | | Occasion | Birthday | | Pet Type | Small Animal | | Special Ingredients | timothy_hay | | Specific Uses For Product | Teeth | | Target Species | Rabbit, Guinea Pig, Chinchilla, Tortoise | | Unit Count | 9100 Grams | | Upc | 743724126204 850059056271 | ## Product Details - **Age range (description):** All Life Stages - **Brand:** Small Pet Select - **Flavour:** Timothy Hay - **Item form:** Flake - **Specific uses for product:** Teeth ## Images ![Small Pet Select 1St Cutting"High Fiber" Timothy Hay Pet Food, 20 Lb. - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71fejsDBBPL.jpg) ![Small Pet Select 1St Cutting"High Fiber" Timothy Hay Pet Food, 20 Lb. - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61gxEJhWi1L.jpg) ![Small Pet Select 1St Cutting"High Fiber" Timothy Hay Pet Food, 20 Lb. - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71r1MVnKwXL.jpg) ![Small Pet Select 1St Cutting"High Fiber" Timothy Hay Pet Food, 20 Lb. - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81oUWuoI8zL.jpg) ![Small Pet Select 1St Cutting"High Fiber" Timothy Hay Pet Food, 20 Lb. - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81peMBm3t4L.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: How big is the whole package?** A: It comes in a box sized 1.5ft x 2ft x 0.5ft. It’s a large amount but really seems to keep its freshness. Especially the first cut. I transfer a few days of hay at a time inside and keep it packaged up in the garage. I suppose you could transfer it easily enough to a large storage container if you wish to reduce mess. Hope that helps. **Q: What pesticides or fertizlers are used on firt cut timothy?** A: don't know the answer; it seems like good Timothy hay **Q: I am a subscriber for the 20 lb. box of timothy hay. i was charged for the 20 lb this month but got a10 lb box. who can i contact to fix this?** A: I would message the company on the bag or box. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ fast delivery *by on Reviewed in Canada 3 September 2026* Good quality hay but very expensive. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality product, fair price! *by on Reviewed in Canada 7 June 2020* Much better quality than what I've purchased from the pet stores.
