I needed to replace the tubing on my Littman Cardiology II that hasn’t been new since 1995. This is my second tubing replacement. The original was short and stiff so was prone to breakage. The second one was also a Littman but was way more soft and flexible and didn’t come with the metal ear piece replacement tubes. Anyway this one had the right price to allow me to keep my stethoscope which has sentimental value. The new ear tubes and pieces are great. The tubing was hard to get off the old stethoscope even with a hairdryer so I took a chance and cut it off. The new one went on easily thanks to a hairdryer dryer. The old one had the 2 holes on cross section and this had one but already I notice sound quality is the same. Listened to myself and detected a faint murmur. Not great but I heard it. This replacement tubing does the job.

Okay I don’t have enough good things to say about this replacement tubing....My littmann Scope with raspberry colored tubing looked so gross and no matter what I did, it would not come clean. I searched the internet for replacement tubing and stumbled across this one. I liked the fact that it was black (so it wouldn’t look disgusting),it had interchangeable ear pieces AND it didn’t break the bank. It was a little long for my liking so I cut it down to the size of tubing I already had on my scope. It was so easy to change out the tubing! Literally just grabbed the chestpiece and pulled the stem from the raspberry tube and stuck it in the new one and bam! Brand freaking new scope (kind of) lol. I can hear so well out of it (if not better than the littmann tubing) Best part is I got to keep my rainbow finish chestpiece! I wish I could have switched out the silver eartubes for the gold ones I had on my original one, but it is what it is. I’m in the process of bedazzling the eartubes anyways so I guess it doesn’t even matter! I wish they had a better variety of colors for my littmann classic se II and maybe some colors other than silver for the eartubes. I would definitely buy from here again.

The tubing is exactly what I ordered and so much cheaper than buying the whole stethoscope. I am disappointed that I was unable to use the replacement rubber rings for the bell and diaphragm. They added too much “lift” preventing direct contact for listening for breath and heart sounds. The part of the tubing that connects the ear pieces is not as tight as my original tubing. I have to press the tubing at the “Y site” to get better/tighter contact with my ears. I am hoping this improves with use.

My cardiologist tubing got cut on a call, this was a good replacement, hard to remove the previous tubing from the head, but goes on easy with the new one. No noticeable deficit compared to original parts.

Anything man-made that you use 13 hours a day five days a week is bound to eventually crack or break. The tube on her Master Cardiology Stethoscope finally cracked at the point where she folds it and she tasked me with finding a replacement tube. Fortunately Amazon had this replacement tube made by CardioTubes that fits her Littmann Stethoscope perfectly. To say that my APNP is picky would be a vast understatement. She demands a lot of herself, her staff, and her equipment in order to provide the best in healthcare to her patients. Anything or anyone who doesn't meet her standards need not apply. Since I am far less than perfect, it is sometimes hard to believe that we've been married for 33 years. This particular replacement tube also came with five sets of soft ear tips (for proper fit), a rim and diaphragm set, and an ID tag. The sound quality is great, it was easy to remove the old tube and replace it with this unit, and the price is very reasonable -- a lot cheaper than buying a new stethoscope!

I previously had the orange Littman tubing, it broke (after 10 years) and I needed something as a replacement and come across this one. This tubing is stiff after a month. I can barely hear anything now in my stethoscope. The color is pretty and vibrate. It’s not too heavy. I would not recommend this tubing otherwise.

There was a reviewer who stated it was single lumen and the sound quality was poor...I was skeptical. I spent some time studying the new tubing and the removed littman tubing. I found that both are single lumen at the end (which allows the chestpiece to slide into place) but the new tubing was too long on the end. I trimmed it so that there was equal distance from the point of the double lumen to the point it slides onto the chestpiece. My main mistake with installation was that I slid the chestpiece onto the tubing slightly crooked. This caused unequal sound in the two ears and was distracting. Because the bell flips it was nearly impossible to get it turned. My husband found you could hold the base of the chestpiece with pliers and turn the tubing with the other hand. This did the trick and the sound quality is great. I am in primary care and I need to hear murmurs and lung sounds. Is this as sensitive as the littman originally? I can't say for sure but it seems to be sensitive enough for my needs. I was hoping to switch out the ear pieces for the original littman but that is not possible. The metal portion of the new tubing does not taper and instead there is a plastic cap onto which the rubber pieces slide. They are not interchangeable but personally I think they are comfortable enough. Overall very pleased and happy to have saved so much money.

The company I bought my stethoscope from in 2007 never responded to my 1st request for replacement tubing, even though they offer free replacement tubing for life. This tubing came quickly, fit my Ultrascope perfectly and sounds WAY better than it ever did with the previous tubing. Maybe it's the more comfortable ear pieces? Very pleased with this tubing!
