Easy to use and color comes out great.

So I kept pushing the envelope, and after 8 years of dyeing, my hair wanted a divorce. Very dark brown (about 2N), Very curly, highly porous, heat/blowouts on average twice a week. Never was foolish enough to bleach in those 8 years, had done that years before and it hated it. In 8 years, went from a dozen greys to about 5% grey. I really never liked the cockroach-colored hair I lightened it to (about a 4-5NW), and decided to stop the intense breakage and just cover the greys. I had one inch breaks all over the crown of my hair. I have fallen in love with my original color again, because of this Demi. It covered the lightened color and made them a rich, deep plum color, my roots are still dark, but the greys look almost a dark lilac color. It is super gentle, and my hair is shiny again. The cons are that it does bleed in the shower, and you do have to redo it after about 10 shampoos. But it is so gentle (no developer needed), you just figure you have to invest another hour every month in maintenance (saving hundreds and countless hours at the salon) - and I am really just looking forward to having long hair again. Long, healthy, shiny hair with lilac "highlights", is better than lighter, but super dry, breaking hair. At least for me... The trick to keeping the color is to use a co-wash for every wash, except for the one right before you re-apply. But I also use SLS, paraben and silicone free products. That matters. As natural as possible works for me, especially when washing/styling.

The color is awesome but it dried out my hair. I didn't think that would happen using a Demi permanent color along with 10 volume developer but it did :'(

Dyeing over medium brown hair, the bottom layer of which I had lifted to a light brown. Got almost no color at all, and what I did get washed out within a week. I’ve gotten much better results from many other brands of semi-permanent dyes.
