I wouldn't use this for a cake, there are no sides and I wouldn't put a sheet pan on it, I would just use the rack. It may help with more even heat if that's what you are looking for, however, it's not designed for cake pans. **Q: A large take and bake pizza from our local shop is 14" in diameter. So perfect that the kids requested it again for dinner this week! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Serves its purpose! *by T***S on May 10, 2024* I made regular pizza crust (that's what is pictured) about 14 inches. I used the oven, a good trick to not letting the parchment paper catch fire is to cut it to where the edges meet the pizza and it will do just fine. Long edges will scorch or catch on fire. The 2nd set of pizza's I made I used the grill. I did Neapolitan style (King Arthur has an excellent recipe on the back of their 00 Neapolitan pizza flour). It turned out to be the best pizza we have ever had. Pizza stones are supposed to stain especially if you don't use parchment paper, it's like a cast iron pan the flavors become one with the pan. The more you use it and stain it the better the pizza turns out. I think this a great stone. Definitely use Neapolitan style pizza, they cook quickly (8 mins or less) so it's feasible to cook one at a time. I wouldn't recommend this for a large family. It works for our family of 4. The pizza blade it comes with, Im not a fan of. It isn't that sharp so you have to work at it to cut the pizza, my cheap $5 pizza cutter works 10x better, have had it for years. I like that it does come with some parchment paper that is cut into squares. The pizza peel works great, easy slide off and on. I would recommend this one.
