DaVinci Union Toddler Bed Conversion Kit (M3899) in Grey

I got the whole crib, Lagoon color, in Feb 2019. My son has used it ever since. This year I decided to move his crib from my room to the room he shared with his sister. He started using her bed to jump over into his crib so I ordered this piece. It went on very good & seems very sturdy, came in the same color as the crib. I weigh 125lbs & I have sat on the edge of his bed. It seems very well built & put together. Something to remember when building cribs or toddler beds, if you tighten the screws to hard you can spilt the wood which weakens it causing it to break easier.

Hmmm, well I guess it's ok. Doesn't seem too sturdy, like I don't think he will fall out of bed or anything like that, just can move it if you want to move it. It is not solid or firm. But maybe that's just my partner's assembling skills coming thru.

We were careful not to over screw when installing this after seeing the multiple bad reviews (thinking we could avoid the problem others faced), but the toddler rail still split the wood of the crib leg even before it was fully secure. The rail is still loose and unsturdy. I contacted DaVinci customer service (which is where Amazon directed me for product issues), but they punted since the crib is an Amazon exclusive product.

I was nervous to buy this after reading other reviews but decided to give it a try. We ha e had it for several months now with no problems. My 3 yr old and 6 yr old play on the bed and While I try not to lean directly on the rail (against it or put my body weight down on it), it’s sturdy and hasn’t given us any trouble. Glad I purchased!

Easy to install. Our two year old seems to like his crib more now that he does not feel so constrained. Not completely satisfied with how sturdy it is and am concerned that the baby climbing on it may break it.

Very easy to put on the bed. I am scared it may crack if she leans on it too much. The one side feels fragile. Butnsonfar so good. It fits the bed perfectly

We actually flipped this upside down and used it as a stabilizer for the crib. Needed to Gerry-rig it a little, but worked great once we got it setup. Only disappointing thing is we couldn't get it in the blue color we purchased the crib in.

I'm scared to lean on it, and I get onto my older kids if I see them trying to hang on it, because it doesn't seem sturdy. I hate that it doesn't come in the same color as our bed. Other than that, it seems to keep my daughter from rolling off.
