Overview: This is one of the most exciting purchases that my wife and I have made in a while. We live right by a state park and had been on the market for bikes for a few weeks. One of the challenges, however, was mustering up the energy to bike the distance between our house and the state park. That was when we started looking more seriously at e-bikes. We had each owned Schwinn bikes before and were impressed with the quality, so naturally we gravitated to these models. Having ridden them for a week now, we can confidently say that they didn’t disappoint.Assembly: The first positive experience was the quick and painless assembly process. The bike arrived with ample packaging to protect it from any potential damage in transit. The instruction manuals provided a step-by-step guide that was easy to follow, and it only consisted of around 8 steps and the assembly process took less than 25 minutes. This was far less than we had anticipated which was a pleasant surprise. Like with Schwinn models that we owned in the past, the build quality was also impressive. The battery and power cords flow seamlessly with the shape of the bike. None of the parts seemed clunky or restricting in any way which allow for a full range of motion and a smooth ride overall.Battery life: We have already gone on a few trips to and from our local park, as well as ridden around our neighborhood, and the bikes also have exceeded our expectations for battery life and endurance. Each bike is equipped with a control pad that shows the amount of battery life ranging from 1 to 4 bars, and we have been monitoring this over the last few days. The battery has remained at 4 bars despite multiple bike rides. This has given us confidence for going on longer rides, especially once the weather gets warmer and the assist feature becomes necessary.Functionality: This e-bike is FUN. They give my wife and I the freedom to ride our bikes wherever we want and however we want. When we want full exercise, we can ride the bikes without the assist, but the strong pedal assist and throttle features also provide a hassle-free option for more casual rides. We can bike through the trails near our house without any concern for our own stamina. The pedal assist feature kicks on while pedaling and helps you to maintain a consistent speed. You can choose Low-Med-High pedal assist depending on your pedaling effort. The energy from the bike gives us the boosts we need to go up hills and inclines, which makes for a far more enjoyable experience. The ride is smooth and consistent.Size: This bike has a 26” frame and fits most people. My wife is 5’1 and I am 5’10, and the bike seat is easily adjustable to fit both of us comfortably. The seat is wide and provides a comfortable cushion.Recommendation: I would highly recommend this e-bike to anyone—whether you need the pedal assist or not. Its impressive build quality, ergonomic feel, and battery life have gotten us excited about bike riding again. We can’t wait to ride it more this summer!

Turn on and go. Easy shifting and nice to have the throttle option!! Love my bike!!

This bike was easy to assemble, easy to learn to ride, and has been a total lifesaver to get around town and to and from work.However... It's needed several repairs already.The brakes came loose and had to be tightened. The pedals ground themselves into dust where they joined the frame (my partner, riding it at the time, was covered in tiny metal glitter flakes) and had to be fully replaced. The bolt holding the handlebars to the frame came loose a few times.It also stops HARD, and if you aren't prepared for that, it's very easy to just fall over from how quickly it stops. Though that could be a good thing, I guess.I do like this bike, and I'm very happy I bought it, but I also absolutely recommend you have someone at your local bike shop look it over and double-check that everything is properly functional before you get too attached or use it regularly.

I have been looking for a moderately priced e-bike for a while and decided to order the Schwinn Mendocino. I ordered via Prime and the bike arrived promptly and was well packaged. The package is large and decently heavy so make sure you have help if moving up stairs to an apartment, etc. I was worried about ordering the bike online and it being damaged during transit, but each component piece of the bike was protected with cardboard and wrap, and the bike was received without any damage. I was also initially apprehensive about putting the bike together, but the process was surprisingly easy. The included manual listed each step thoroughly and clearly, and total assembly time was about 30 minutes, and didn’t require any special tools. The only downside was all the clean up from the packaging.The bike itself seems to be great quality. The frame is sturdy and well built. The saddle is also wide and easily adjustable, so it can work for a variety of body types- which is great since both my girlfriend and I will be sharing this bike. So far we have only been on a short ride to the park but the battery power makes the ride so fun. Riding is completely effortless on this bike, and I can’t wait to take it out on longer trips once we get some warmer weather. The bike can go about 50 miles on a full charge so we will be doing lots of trips in the Spring.Overall, I am impressed with the quality of this bike and would definitely recommend if you’re looking for an ebike.

First, I ordered an e-bike from this company (new) and the throttle had a mind of it's own. Sent it back. Then I found one w/ the same company that was used but in "VERY GOOD" condition. Very good to these ppl means: 1. it does not work and never will. 2. it came with one pedal. The left pedal was not included as it is on back order ***wait for it*** for a year. So I took it into a bike shop as the company requested and the bike repair guy looked at it like he was befuddled. The front tire did not fit the frame. The key was broken off in the battery holder, nothing on the "e" side worked at all - no movement when you press the throttle and of course there's that pesky no left pedal issue. If it's on back order at their company, do you think it may be on back order everywhere. The company has been rude in terms of reaching out to me to figure this whole mess out. I highly recommend you buy a bike anywhere than from this dealer. They are T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E. Amazon has been great tho, so there's one good thing about this nightmare.

The carton was in perfect condition when it arrived, but the lock that holds the battery in place was brokenOff inside, and the kickstand was broken so it stuck into the spokes. Manufacturer said it did not know when parts would be available, so we sent it back!

This is a nice bike. Easy to assemble and rides like a dream.

Love the bike. Great value. Stays at a good pace when pedaling on low, just wish there was a speed in between low and medium (medium pace is a bit too fast).
