Does this make you sleepy or keep you awake?

It does not make you sleepy at all. I've been using it for 30 years. I use it at work when I'm stuffed up from allergies.  It's a dry inhaler. I love it. I also think that the Olba's Inhaler is good (also sold by Amazon). Both are dry inhalers. Both work very well for me. I use them both daily.

Question 2

Anyone take this longer than the three recommended days? If so what was the result?

I have, and yes you can safely use it for longer periods, but the greater the number of days you use it continuously, the more likely you are to have "rebound" symptoms. Sort of like taking sleeping pills for too long and then suddenly stopping -- you are going to have insomnia for a few days at least. If your body becomes too accustomed to using this product continuously, when you do stop, your passages are going to close up pretty badly for at least a few days until your body goes back to equilibrium. So that's why they don't want you using it too long uninterrupted. If it's just a few extra days, even up to a week I think it would be fine, beyond that you run the risk of becoming too acclimated to it and "needing" it. Another reason they only want you to use it for three days is because you might have something going on that needs medical attention (sinus infection, etc.), so when in doubt speak to your doctor or pharmacist.

Why is there such a big price increase? Normally its like $5 something, and i just bought a few for $2.65

Probably inflation.  I  first used them when they were 25cents.  That has been 67yrs. ago.

Does this dry out your sinus?

I'm not sure what you mean by dry out, but I haven't noticed anything other then them being open and the ability to breath freely.  It does have a slight burn when you first inhale it but it opens up my sinus usually within a few minutes.
