Perfect Upgrade for Better Ventilation in Any Weather
โ โ โ โ โ Excellent Addition for Full-Time RVing I installed two MaxxAir FanMate covers on our Brinkley fifth wheel, and theyโve been one of the best upgrades weโve made. The installation was straightforward since the FanMate uses the existing MaxxAir mounting tabs, although I did have to carefully work through some factory sealant around the brackets. Once installed, they fit securely and look like they came from the factory. The biggest benefit is being able to leave the roof vents open during rain without worrying about water getting inside. They also let us keep air moving through the RV when weโre away, which helps reduce heat and stuffiness during the summer. The covers feel solid, donโt rattle while traveling, and donโt interfere with the operation of the fan. The smoke-colored cover also blends in nicely with the RV instead of standing out. If you spend a lot of time in your RV, especially if youโre a full-timer, these are an upgrade Iโd recommend. They provide peace of mind, improve ventilation, and have performed exactly as I hoped.

Super easy install
Arrived in a huge Amazon box. Simple instructions, you snap on the rear grate, and then head up to the roof. Full disclosure, I have Maxx fan plus vents on my RV already with the built in brackets, but this cover can be made to work on vents without them. For me, I simply placed the cover over my roof vent, slid in the 4 locking pins, and had time to inspect my roof sealant while I was up there. Total time to install including looking around, 15 minutes. Tested and my fan vent motors up all the way without hitting the cover. It's going to be great to be able to use the fan when it's raining. Wish these were factory installed, and that they were half as much, it's just a molded price of plastic. I want one for my other roof vent but too expensive right now to buy two of them. It does seem to be loose in that I can wiggle it around, not sure how wind forces are going to treat it, but I've not heard of them failing during travel. I bought the black one because it won't change color from uv exposure like the white one will. Purchased another one "used like new" at a pretty good discount. It arrived in original box with parts bag still zip tied to the rear grate, all in plastic like it'd never been out of the box. Installed and working great

Good fit
Product was as described. Installation was pretty straight forward. I like the sleek design vs the max maxx air 2 and the ability to open the vent further since it's just a little taller than the maxxair2. I have the cheap fan that came with my trailer so I had to opt for the bracket install. I rushed thru it and noticed later that it would have been easier to align the cover if I had followed the directions. My only complaint is that there is no clear information on how the clips face. On the right side they go on snug from front to back once engaged there fit very well against the cover, the left side clips need to be installed from back to front to achieve the same results. Looking at different images and videos people seem to have placed them in either direction and they hold. Maybe it's just me being picky. Unfortunately it didn't come with a bug screen ( sold separately). But I knew that before purchase. Can't wait 2 more weeks to my trailer out to test it. I hope it doesn't fall off during transit lol. ***update. I took the vent off to add the screen and while at it, I bent 2 of the clip the other direction installed all of them from front to back and now all 4 clips rest against the vent. Problem solved...

Works great
I purchased two of these. Very easy to install just four clips. A little pricey but what isnโt anymore.

Nice Cover for MaxxAir Roof Vents
This is a big unit and will do the job. The holes where the clips fit into were very tight and one set was not all the way through - had to use a drill bit to open up. After that no problem with mounting. I also purchased the bug screen that goes with this cover and it was a problem mounting it so it would stay in place. Both the cover and screen are very flexible and getting them both to align is difficult. Eventually I used eight zip ties to hold the bug screen in position and then applied silicone at the mating surfaces on both inside and outside the vent cover. This created a firm bracing effect that will prevent the bug screen from working loose. There are gaps between the bottom of the vent cover and the RV roof where bugs could get in but it is not obvious. Hopefully no issue there.

T@B 320s Boondock install with high velocity Fantastic Fan
Welp, Fantastic Fan has been sold out of their brand fan cover for some time now. After some research, decided to go with this Max Air as it was noted as compatible with our 3 speed Fantastic Fan in our 2021 T@B 320s Boondock camper. I definitely donโt regret this purchase. This worked great, looks and functions perfectly with our Fan. The directions were pretty straightforward and I watched a YouTube video for some extra insight. The install took about an hour. You do have to drill holes, but not in the camper. You drill the holes in the existing Fantastic Fan on the sides. 8 very small holes to put the tabs on the existing fan. Once thatโs done, clip it on and youโre done! Easy and looks awesome! This will be so nice to be able to leave the fan open in the rain and not have to worry about my fan getting damaged from wind. Also, less light comes in when the sun comes up in the morning. Recommend.

MaxxAir FanMate Vent Cover
Just what the doctor ordered. It worked exceptionally well on my new 2026 Greywolf. It was such an easy install. I was amazed. Just set it over the tabs and put the pens in. I decided to add zip ties to the end of the pins for security site. It has the mounting for either type of application very tall great product.

A must if you have the pre-installed mounting brackets
I don't think maxxair does a good job explaining the differences in models so I'll try to help- before you buy any maxxair fan go to the roof of your camper. If you have the 4 tabs around your roof vent. In the second picture on the item you can see them. If you have those 4 tabs this is the model you want because install is literally 5 minutes, just putting 4 included pins into those pre installed brackets. Most newer campers should have these. If you don't have the brackets on your roof already just get a cheaper maxxair vent. I've done those installs also, it's not that hard but you have to drill some holes (not the roof) for the brackets. It's ridiculous that this piece of plastic is $70 but it works and install is super easy if you have the correct set up.

Great addition to rv
We have an LTV Unity and these covers have been great to cover our existing fans so that we are protected from the rain. I like the fact that although they are dark (smoke-colored), they are actually tinted so when you are using the rv, the color is light. I would definitely recommend these covers for added protection. Although we did not install them ourselves, we were told it was easy to do with the clips.

Solid and easy to clean
Once you get it to fit (a little bit of work), it is solid, well made, and super easy to remove and put back.

Perfect fit, very happy, good quality, but...
I ordered 2 of these, 2 arrived, all good...until I opened the box and realized that there was no hardware. "Fanmate Cover with EZ Clip Hardware" Contacted amazon via chat, and one of the Representatives that I spoke with told me to ship back, re-order. Another Rep offered 20% discount. The third Rep said there's nothing they can do, just ship it back for a refund. A long, painful 2 hour conversation. "Why would I ship this huge box back(it was a very big box, 2 covers in it), when the actual product is good, it's just missing the hardware?" Contacted the seller, they sent me the hardware, all good. Amazon's fault or the Sellers fault?
