I kept seeing ads for the Azuna air freshener refillable pods and almost bought some because their glass jars look SUPER cute. But, I didn’t want to invest in a natural home air freshener until I tried some cheaper ones out. I tried this product and am SHOCKED at how well it works. I have 3 dogs and was trying to hard to get rid of the “dog smell” they carry into the house after playing outside in the summer heat. This does the trick! Way cheaper than most odor removing gels I have found for the home and it smells great! The smell is strong at first, but then becomes so subtle it’s not even noticeable. You just have clean, crisp air. 10/10. Will be buying again.

I got a good month out of each jar. I put the small one in my hallway and didn't smell anything different however, a few days later I realized the muggy shoe smell was gone and I smelled the freshness I had right when I moved in. It definitely works as an odor eliminator. The big one didn't work in my bathroom when I had a sewer issue so I guess this is only good for mild to moderate odors. It's super easy to use and I would take it over a plug in or spray that mask odors any day.

I ordered this product to go into my closet to help with shoe odor - these are heels and boots. I wanted more than just masking the smells. I put the 7 oz jar in my closet, which is small. It worked well for the first two days , but a week later I am noticing the shoe smells returning . I shook the jar yesterday to see if that might activate the gel. The larger one I put into the garage. Same thing - there was a noticeable difference the first few days, but a week later, I am noticing the smell coming back. I think the idea is good and maybe I just need a little more time. I'll see!Update: July 15th - it's been 2 months since I purchased these and placed in the house. In my first review I wasn't very impressed,but after two months I do believe this product is working. The shoe smell in the closet is gone and the garage smells great. I will be ordering refills.

Got this to get rid of my cat litter odor. It doesn't get rid of the smell at the start which is the worst. Only hours later do you notice it's gone but then again is it gone because of this item or because I cleaned the litterbox?I wouldn't say this is for pet odors/ living room space, maybe for the bathroom.

We have 3 cats and 2 litter boxes that fill up very quickly. I have tried nearly everything to eliminate (not mask) the odors - sprays that claim to "kill" odor-causing bacteria, enzyme-based deodorizers, natural deodorizers, specialty deodorizers from pet supplies stores, even a huge bag of baking soda. I came across this product at Amazon by doing a search. I bought the "starter kit" and have never looked back since. This is truly a great product and I ended up buying the refill and spray later on. I am still using the bonus 8oz container. It's been over a month and the container is still half-full.I think the gel pieces work by releasing their molecules in the air which then bind with the odor molecules, causing the latter to "fall" from the air. As the gel molecules are released, the crystals "evaporate" and do not leave any residue. This product has a mild scent and I would have preferred it to be odorless. But it's a small price to pay for its effectiveness. My only complaint is that the product is relatively expensive so I'm planning to look for a similar but less expensive product. But if the latter is less effective, I will definitely go back to Fresh Wave.I need to warn prospective buyers that this product is most effective in small, self-contained areas. Our litter boxes are in a "closet-like" area and I can guarantee there is no litter box smell. I tried using Fresh Wave in larger areas (the manufacturer states up to 400 sqft) but have found it to be less effective. However, to be honest, I did not try putting several containers around the rooms.I strongly recommend this product! Use it for bathrooms, closets, laundry areas, storage rooms and similar places. I would feel bad for you however if you needed to use this in your car. How can one drive around in a stinking car?

I can't say it enough how much I like this product. We have a big family of kids & animals and it can get a bit stagnent in our house (especially winter.) We first started putting one of these just past our filter in the furnace so it goes through this & furnace the air. Works great! No overwhelming smell. I'm super sensitive to smells. When you first open it it did have a smell, kind of piney. But it disappears quickly. I actually can tell when it stops working, more than if it is still working. It's a lot of air to clean I leave mine in our 2200+sq ft house for about 25-30 days.But then they released the lavendar. Probably one of my favorite scents. I put a few through out the house. The kids love them too. The lavendar is SUPER strong when you first open it. I suggest you open it half way or put it somewhere you don't have to encounter it until it's settles down in about 24 hours. Then it's a gentle constant lavendar.I will tell you this. Fresh Wave does not mask scents, it absorbs them. Gets them out of the air. I really can't express how much I love this stuff. I'm a picky consumer. I'll leave it at that. I buy a lot of this every month or so now. In my furnace, in my rooms, in my car (that 7oz one rocks) little sticky holders for bathrooms, sacks for drawers/closets and I'm sure there's more to discover. I browse and find something else several times. Big fan.

Neutralizes secondhand smoke odor seeping into my condo better than expected.

Ordered this because of the reviews, however, to me, the scent was not appealing after I took off the foil cover. I liked the ingredients mentioned when I purchased... Placed one in it a linen closet to give it a chance. Just went to test the smell of a nearby towel, must say it was much better than I expected. So not a disappointment. Pleasantly surprised so far.
