These beans produce a good, rounded cup of coffee that doesn’t have any bitter edge to it and it has made a nice change from the beans I just used up. As is often the case, the beans smell really good in their bag when you rip off the top - using the tear lines that actually work well on this bag for a change. Often, that delicious smell isn’t translated into good taste, which can lead to disappointment, but this coffee fulfils the promise made by the aroma and produces a great cup of coffee.I am enjoying a cappuccino made using these beans as I write this and, as soon as I finish, I will be ordering my next bag. I have a list containing coffee that I think is worth getting again and, whilst I don’t use the same beans each week, this one is on my list and will be a regular purchase.

I like fresh coffee and I like it strong. Therefore these 'VELO Coffee Roasters-Premium Roasted Coffee Beans' are a little weaker than I normally drink but can be solved by allowing them to stew a little longer. I don't know if it is because I grind quite coarsely or I add too much, but there is a satisfying slick of coffee at the bottom of each cup I drink.With its medium flavour it will not appeal those that enjoy a stronger cup, but people that dip in and out of drinking coffee should enjoy still it. The bag reseals easily, and you can grind a few beans at a time, or grind loads and store them in another packet.

Velo is wonderful! They have some of the best beans around (and even supply some of my favorite local bakeries and restaurants)! I buy their beans for cold brew and pour over at home and it's excellent.I like this coffee a lot. Nice flavor, full bodied, good and dark. I Received the "morning fixie" blend.I finely ground the beans by hand and brewed it with my percolator machine, using the amount I usually use for 2 cups of coffee and it came out watery and weak.The flavour profile is good, it does taste chocolatey and nutty and a little sweet but it is super mild and tastes watered down. Even the 'great value' coffee from the local supermarket has a much stronger flavour, (though with a less complex taste).I tried using double the amount of coffee to brew my next cup which did help a little, but was still weak and I'd get through it very fast If I need to use 3-4 tablespoons per cup.To give it the benefit of the doubt: It might taste great if you have an espresso machine to prepare it with, but this coffee comes out very weak in a percolator and I wouldn't recommend it if you like strong coffee as I do. 3 stars as the flavours are good, if weak - and the smell is incredible. I can only assume it must be better as an espresso based on other reviews.

I really have enjoyed this coffee. It's a great blend perfect for every day. It's rich and string enough to make long milk based drinks like latte and cappichinos. The beans are not too oily but they are nicely roasted and we're fresh and ready to grind in the hopper. I would buy these now I have tried them.

What a horrible weird taste

I really like this blend.Keep in mind this is medium roast, so you don't need to set your coffee strength too high when making it as this can be strong enough.This is a 200g resealable bag of coffee beans, i have been using them on my delonghi coffee machine, which will grind and brew this coffee to perfection, there is indeed a hint of chocolaty nutty flavour in there for sure, it's also really nice and smooth.Overall, pretty good coffee.

This is a review of the Morning Fixie blend, 200g. It looks quite glam in a golden packet, and it will stand out on a shelf, but the product itself manages to be a fairly middle-of-the-road blend in many ways.The beans somehow seem a touch softer than some when put through an electric grinder, but the resulting powder seems very familiar. The colour and aroma of the ground beans feels quite standard and it’s difficult to find adjectives to apply to it that make it distinct from other coffees. The same is true when it’s brewed too. There’s nothing bad about it at all.As the name implies though, there’s a definite kick in the caffeine department on this one. It’s undoubtedly a full-caffeine blend and the effect is noticeable.If you want coffee that perks you up and you’re not too bothered what it tastes like as long as it tastes like coffee, you’ll plough through this stuff in no time.
