I recently ordered this set! It was trial and error finding the right recipe that would provide consistent foam for the entire bottle. I found that if I decreased the soap amount even by a tablespoon or two, by the midway point of bottle use, the foam would not hold, producing small watery bubbles. Once the recipe is in the bottle, swirl the bottle to incorporate ingredients. Do not shake bottle for best results. For consistent foam see recipe below. Final thoughts; the glycerin makes for foam stability and consistency. I used food grade glycerin from Amazon. Foaming Hand Soap 2 oz. Castile Soap: This is your "magic number" for the lather. 6 oz. Water: Leave about a half-inch of "headspace" at the top so the pump doesn't overflow when you put it in. 2–3 Teaspoons Glycerin: This will give you that quality silkiness and foam stability. 6-8 Drops Jojoba OR Lavender oil: We want to avoid "foam-kill" Foaming Face Wash 2 oz. Castile Soap: 6 oz. Water: 2–3 Teaspoons Glycerin: 3 drops Jojoba oil 3 drops of tea tree oil OR 3 drops witch hazel. The witch hazel & tea tree oil are effective astrigents. Witch hazel also acts as a pore tightener. The tea tree oil is the antibacterial. Both are effective at controlling acne. See photo.

The bottle is a bit small, but that's exactly what I wanted. The glass is really pretty and elevates my kitchen! I use castile soap + water in it and it foams really well and saves me $$

Says it’s for a gallon sized bottle. Was too long but cut well to fit the bottle. The lid does not fit on the Cholula gallon bottle. Pumps well.

I ordered this product and it arrived promptly (as soon as I had aggregate orders over $25 under Amazon's add-on program for inexpensive items). The pump seems as if it were specifically made for the Biotone gallon Advanced Therapy Massage Lotion that I use. The intake hose and the spout are just the right length, and the lotion came out after only a few initial pumps to prime the line. I've only used it to fill up a smaller Biotone container one time, and so I can't comment on how long this pump will last--hopefully indefinitely. The remainder of my comments do not specifically apply to this pump or even to this specific lotion, but to any thick lotion and any gallon jug. I first bought the gallon jug (without pump) and tried unsuccessfully to pour it into the 8 ounce dispensing container that I use (which happens to be the Biotone 8 ounce container of the same lotion). It didn't work--too thick, air bubbles, lotion oozing out and down the neck and sides of the small container, etc. (herein called a "Mess"). So I tried a funnel. Still a Mess. So I put the gallon jug in a tub of very hot water and hoped the lotion would thin out over the next 30-60 minutes or so from the heat. Nope. Still a Mess. So I looked up pumps on Amazon. I found several types where customers complained that the intake hose was too short, or too small in diameter for a thick lotion, or whatever. So I ordered the Biotone pump. It works fine, but it still takes practice to avoid some tendency towards a Mess. Even though the pump works fine, you still have thick, goopy, lotion going into a small bottle neck. If you don't keep the spout well down into the small bottle (or maybe no matter what you do), lotion will create an air bubble while filling and start to overflow even though the small bottle is not full. It's still a goopy process. But I think I see how to do it neatly. It's not the fault of the pump, and it will just take a little practice on what works for you.

Nicely crafted foaming soap bottles. I made my own foaming hand soap! Works wonderfully.

Ordered this just a few weeks ago, didn’t get the soap for it until later, bottom line, it was barely used and the pump broke on one already. I haven’t even used the other one yet, now I’ll have to to make sure it’s worth keeping. Returning it for a replacement, will keep updating as to whether it was just a fluke. It’s lovely, and elegant; the bottle is a nice quality. The pump felt sturdy. These are not battery operated. Easy to set up. Foaming comes and goes as to the amount, might have been the warning sign that it was going to break.

I was looking for a soap dispenser for the big bottles of laundry soap we buy as I find it really hard to maneuver the bottles. This works perfectly and allows me to keep the soap in one spot and not have to deal with awkwardness or potential spilling of soap. I would buy again for sure.
