Essential field guide for Nepal
The first edition was the standard book to take with you to Nepal and I am pleased to say that the revised edition is even better! It is both bigger and better than the first edition especially with the addition of range maps. This revised edition is some 80 pages longer than the first one so whereas 8 species of phylloscopus warblers were squeezed onto one page in the original book, only 6 species are on a slightly larger page in the revised edition. My only quibble is that some of the names are confusing as for example, the pnoepyga Wren-babblers are now known as Cupwings by some authorities with Nepal Wren-babbler known as Immaculate Cupwing! Despite this however, this is the only book you need for a birdwatching trip to Nepal and is recommended to all the clients on our tours. Vaughan Ashby/Birdfinders

Excellent ouvrage

Good for Nepal Birds
Good for those interested in the birds of Nepal. Except for one odd birds, most birds are common to India. The earlier and celebrated book on the Birds of India covers most of the birds of Nepal too.
