Adult 1-6 Small Bites Dry Dog Food | #1 Veterinarian Recommended, Chicken & Barley, 35 lb. Bag

At first I was very skeptical about giving my fussy 15-year old Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix this healthy chicken and barley dry food, especially because what if, after giving him a bowl of it, he didn't like it, wasting a whole 5# bag (or having to donate it). (Normally anything considered "healthy" he turned his nose up to.) Being on a fixed income it was risky for me to buy the 5# bag, but my vet recommended it so I bought it. I had tried other dry dog foods that were loaded with meat by-products, artificial colors, etc. that looked like they would be delicious, but Ollie surprisingly just turned his nose up at them. So, taking a chance I poured him a bowl of these little brown morsels (they look like miniature oatmeal cookies) from the Hills Science Diet bag and waited. Lo and behold, Ollie walked over to the bowl, sniffed, and starting eating the boring looking little bites. He loved them!! Surprise, surprise. Now that is all he will eat for dry food. It has been well worth the money to see our little guy enjoy his food and get the nutrition he needs at the same time. I highly recommend Hills chicken and barley small bites. I do wish there had been smaller bags or samples available initially, but, fortunately it all worked out well.

My dog has tried a few different brands of kibble, this one is by far her absolute favorite. Not only does she enjoy it, but she has much healthier and regular bowel movements. The small bites is perfect for small dogs; she is a chiweenie and it’s easy for her to chew. Can’t recommend it enough!

The shelter gave us this food when I first got my pride and joy when he was baby and ever since we just kept it up. We add abit of a topper to balance the dry to wet food ratio for his gut. My dog has a very sensitive stomach and when we try to change it, my boy just gets so upset about it. We also converted my aunts 14 year old pitbull to science lol. When we were dog sitting for a good year with her, she had dry hair with dandruff beforhand and was fed basic dog food from Walmart. Ever since changing her diet to Science, her coat has become shiny and smooth in the first 6 months we had her. She now absolutely refuses any other brand of food and will protest if it's not her usual order. Can't think of ever getting anything else!

This is officially my dog's go-to food! We used to buy his food from Petco, but since switching him to this Hill's Science Diet Chicken & Barley recipe, he has been obsessed. He genuinely loves the taste and gets excited for mealtime now. The "Small Bites" kibble size is perfect for him to chew easily. Plus, knowing it's a high-quality, vet-recommended formula makes me feel great about what I'm feeding him. 10/5 stars from my pup!

My Japanese Spitz has this every day for breaky and dinner and he's a super healthy doggo. Healthy coat of fur, healthy regular doggie-doos. I wouldn't buy him anything different.

Really happy with this dog food. The kibble size is perfect for smaller dogs and much easier for them to chew comfortably. My dog seemed to enjoy the taste right away, and I noticed no stomach issues or digestion problems after switching. I also like that it uses quality ingredients and is a brand commonly recommended by vets. The large bag lasts a long time, especially for small breeds, so it ends up being good value too. Overall, a solid choice if you want reliable everyday food for a small dog.
