I had in mind to upgrade to a “better” rod one day, but it hasn’t happened yet. So when I decided to buy a Spey rod for trout I got this 4 wt combo. Arguably the rod, and line (Rio Trout Spey) are worth the asking price, you will likely want to upgrade the reel, although it is serviceable, the case is nice looking and sturdy, comes with a couple of leaders.
