If you loved Drake 25 cent cookies from the past, then these are what you need to try. :-)
These cookies are very good, but they actually remind me of, the same cookies I used to eat when I was younger and they taste exactly the same. If some of you guys have been around since the 80s, you'll remember these $.25 Drake cookies that came in lemon, chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin and coconut. These are the closest that I found to that nostalgic taste and texture. Part of me thinks that they're the same exact recipe as those from back in the days. All I need is a quarter water. ;-)

Hard cookies, not soft
Tate cookies are good, but these were all hard. Not the soft cookies that I prefer and can be purchased in bags at the grocery store. Also these cookies were smaller than what I usually buy.I am not saying that they are bad cookies, just not my preference and what I usually buy. First time I have bought a box. And the first time I've had their Lemon cookies. I liked the lemon, not too strong.

My Favorite Store Bought Cookie Brand
All the different varieties are great and no funky ingredients (thank you Tates). If you are crispy cookie person, you love them. If you prefer soft cookie consistency - look elsewhere. They are pricey, but the quality is there. Enjoy!

Okay
I thought these cookies were just okay. For the price and hype, I expected a little more. From the reviews, I knew these were going to be crisp cookies and not soft. I purchased the sampler pack, and the cookies ranged from nicely crisp to somewhat hard. The flavors also did not win me over. The classic chocolate chip cookie had the best texture but was overly sweet. The lemon was good but unmemorable. The oatmeal raisin was a letdown and did not have the number of raisins or the chew you would expect in this type of cookie. The salted caramel was also just average. These cookies are better than Chips Ahoy or Amos brands, but not that much better.

Baker endorsed, quality crispy cookies.
I really enjoyed this cookie assortment and shared it with my wife. I'd like to think I know something about baked good as my first career included three years of studying baking in a New York City trade school. A quality product is often rated in three areas with about 10% going to smell, 20% to appearance, and 70% to taste. I think Tate's cookies hit the top of the scale on all three counts. The assortment comes with seven cookies per pack. There are four packs included in this assortment that includes chocolate chip, lemon, oatmeal, and butter crunch.I prefer crispy and crunchy cookies over those that are soft. All four types of cookies in this assortment fit that bill and will not disappoint those seeking a cookie that has a crunch. All four types of cookies were uniform in appearance and have a delightful flavor that held true to the type of cookie it was. What hit me as unusual when opening the package of lemon cookies was the lemon aroma that carried through to the actual taste of the cookies. I had to check the ingredient list and see they used. It was lemon oil which usually comes lemon zest which is an expensive ingredient. The other cookies in the bundle also list quality ingredients that contributes to their excellent taste. Tate's cookies are definitely a reorder for us.

Exactly as described
These cookies are just great. My husband who said to "buy them for myself" as he wouldn't eat these has already finished off the tin.... a good thing I bought two. Yes, a few cookies were broken...big deal. They go down just as easily as the whole ones, and seriously, what do you expect with this type of cookie? I so have these on "Subscribe & Save". The only drawback is they are expensive and the cookies are not very large, but you're getting 40 per tin. These taste very similar to real butter cookies....the ones with a ton of sugar. I love these things and it's a buy-again item for me.
