Sparks - The Dayspring Collective
I am extremely new to this genre. As a matter of fact, this was my introduction to techno ... and I LOVE it! Absolutely fascinating, transmuting music takes you to an entirely new dimension. Considering I just discovered this album, band, AND genre, I for one feel this is timeless whether it appeared in 1997 or 2005! If you're into trance-travel, this album is for you. If you're into losing yourself for a while, this album is for you. If you just want to try something new... what can I say other than THIS ALBUM IS FOR YOU!!! I cleaned my entire house in a half an hour. :-)

A Spark Review
Any fan of trance from the southwest (or fittingly, "desert trance") or Deepsky who doesn't have this CD is missing out on an excellent album. It features some of progressive trance's finest moments to date (mostly in "Stargazer"). The production on this CD is superb and stands up even after almost four years. This blend of driving-leads, sound effects, spacey-pads, breakbeats and four-on-the-floor beats, fails to sound out-dated (7-7-2001). Not all the tracks on this CD are of equal strength, but that needs to be put into perspective. There are only a handful of trance tunes that can compare favorably to "Stargazer", period. The fact that half of the other tracks on this CD (Heaven's Gate, Meltdown, 3 Mile Highland, and Deliverance) manage to come close to being as good as the seminal Deepsky track, "Stargazer" says a lot about their quality and of the Dayspring Collectives' ability to consistently create excellent tracks. The remaining tracks on this CD are by no means bad and are worth listening to (just not as much). This is an often over-looked CD, particularly by fans of Deepsky. Get it!
