Let me begin by saying that I am a VERY, VERY picky customer when it comes to soaps and have been trying to find a product that meets the high standards that I want in a bar soap. This one does, and it does it very well. I used Dial glycerin soap in the past and have been looking for a good bar soap since that company stopped selling it. Sadly, the other types glycerin soaps just do not lather the way that the Dial brand did. The various other soap brands that I have tried left so much residue behind that I felt dirty even after a shower despite rinsing off very thoroughly. It was so gross, I cannot stand scummy feeling soap!!! I did a lot of research and trial and error. I finally ended up trying soaps that were recommended for hard water. The Amish Farms Bar Soap was among those listed for that. I was a bit leery to pay $21 for only 6 bars of soap, but the bars are very generously sized and when my order arrived I understood that it was actually a very good value. The soap could easily be cut in half and made into 12 decent sized bars if you would like to do that. They are very basic looking bars and looked like they were going to be just a cheap run-of-the-mill kind of soap. the texture of the dry bars is kind of waxy and chalky. It seemed very underwhelming... but happily it's really not. :) The first time I used the soap I washed my face first. It had a beautiful frothy lather. It felt silky and spread nicely over my skin with no grittiness at all. When I rinsed my face it felt like the soap was not coming off at first. I rinsed and rinsed and started groaning inside, thinking that this must be the grossest, slimy, soap scum that I had ever come across until it dawned on me that the slick feeling was not the soap! My skin was so clean and moisturized that the soft feeling was not soap residue, it was my skin! Even after drying off my skin felt almost alien to me because I have never, ever had that kind of experience. It was so fresh from using those natural ingredients and not all dried out or heavy feeling from being covered in chemicals. It felt like I had bathed and used a moisturizing lotion that had been absorbed into my skin. There was absolutely no stickiness and was so soft and I couldn't stop stroking it because it felt so nice! The other bonus to this is that my skin continued to have that wonderful feeling all day. I t didn't dry out and go away. I have tried expensive beauty bars and they did not come close to this. I was a bit concerned that since it was such a soft, gentle feeling soap that it would not be effective for washing off my cosmetics, but so far it has done a great job and I have not had any issues. I can honestly and strenuously recommend this soap. I love everything about it and will not be using any other brand from now on. My search is over and I am pleasantly surprised that it exceeded my impossible standards. The only negative thing that I can think to say is that it just smells like soap. It isn't a bad smell, but not pleasant either. Just smells like a slightly strong and basic soap. (They do offer a scent and dye free version.) It doesn't bother me because the scent is not overpowering and does not linger after you rinse... If you are looking for aroma therapy in your bath you can always add a couple drops of your favorite essential oil into the bath water or to make DIY (or purchase) shower steamers/melts. It is simple and easy to find directions for online. The surface area of the bars do get a bit soft after you use it, the manufacturers do instruct that you should let it air dry thoroughly between uses. So far, by following those directions, the bar is holding up and lasting as long as any other bar soap that I have used in the past. I did include some photos so that you can see how generous the size of these bars are compared to a regular one.

The product is made with natural ingredients like bentonite clay. It gently lifts the dirt away. It is versatile in that it can be used for face, hands, shampoo and even shaving. I have stopped buying shaving soaps because this product does such a good job of lathering up for shaving. As a bar soap, it is easy to use and less wasteful, even the smallest piece will still lather up for shaving. It does have a light fragrance that leaves you feeling really clean. Moisturizing after using this soap is redundant. I highly recommend this soap.

Buy this soap. I have been using it for over a year. It cleans beautifully and doesn't dry out your skin. Pure ingredients and beautifully created, generously sized bars that last several months for me. The scent reminds me of the original Dove bar soap/lotion that my great aunt used. Sooo I get cleansed, moisturized and full of happy memories all from a bar of soap. The price is excellent for 6 big fat bars of soap and the quality is better than any supermarket garbage. Ok this soap has me hooked wow, love it the lather is crazy and you truly feel the difference in your skin after a shower. I have tried so many soaps and been using mostly a goat's milk soap and then I tried this one and I am loving it. The bars are huge and last long time. I have gotten 2 other people to buy them, and they cannot stop talking about it.

AT NEARLY 74 I'VE PURCHASED A VARIETY OF SOAPS AND WITH AGE I'VE GAINED MUCH WISDOM. CHEMICALS FOR INSTANCE ARE BAD FOR YOU, YET THEY ARE IN JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING. BUT, THIS PRODUCT DOESN'T HAVE ANY. I READ THE COMMENTS, HINCE WHY I BOUGHT IT, AND THE GOOD NAME OF THE AMISH AND WHAT THEY MAKE, SUCH AS FURNITURE. I HAD NO IDEA THEY SOLD SOAP AND OTHER ITEMS. WOW THIS SOAP IS ABSOLUTELY THE CATS MEOW, THE DOGS BARK, AND THE DOLPHINS SQUEAK. ITS AMAZING. IT LATHERS LUXUROUSLY AND YOUR SKIN, OMGOSH IT FEELS LIKE SILK, LITERALLY. SOME SOAPS LEAVE A FILM ON YOU, DOVE I THINK DOES THAT, WITH IT YOUR BATHING WITH LOTION, BUT THIS, WOOO EEEE, IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BUY THE SIX, AT LEAST GET ONE, TRY IT MIKEY, LOL, YOU'LL NOT ONLY LIKE IT, YOU'LL LOVE IT, THEN YOU'LL BE BUYING THE SIX AS I DID. ALTHOUGH I LOVE IT, I HAD TO GIVE IT A 4 STAR INSTEAD OF 5 ONLY BECAUSE I WOULD RATHER HAVE NO SCENT. IT ISN'T OVERPOWERING I SIMPLY DON'T WANT SCENTED SOAP. I " WILL " BUY IT AGAIN, AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I’ve been really happy with this soap set. The bars are large, long-lasting, and leave my skin feeling clean without drying it out. The scents are light and fresh, not overpowering, which is perfect for sensitive skin. I also like that the ingredients feel more natural compared to many commercial soaps. It lathers well and works great for both face and body. The variety pack is a nice bonus because you can try different scents. Excellent value for the price, especially for a 6-pack. I would definitely purchase again.

I love the natural smell of the soap That can lather up as a shampoo too !! This soap helped eliminate my itchy scalp as a great lathering shampoo when rolled between hands several times in the shower to lather PLUS Dry patches on MY skin ARE disappearing in just a short time using this product I really like this soap Due to no chemicals or additives !!! Lathers up better than any soap I've ever used. It doesn't dry my skin. I couldn't ask for more from a soap. No annoying fragrance either.
