Here is a book based on Zenas's years of personal care-filled research that fueled my curiosity more and more as each chapter unfurled... I read the book 3 times in the first week I had it, as I felt something drawing me to read between the lines into the actual history. I came to sense my ancestors from Wales, England, northwest France as well as those Vikings from Scandinavia may likely have come as early explorers to Nova Scotia,the New England coast, and upstate NY prior to 1600. Something about the invisible ink writing in the journals and on the maps came as no surprise... Like somehow I already knew this...??? In retrospect , I realize this book speaks personally to the stories of the adventures of my ancestors... Known and unknown .. Such as at least 6 known adventurous male and female members of the Mayflower 1620 voyage to Plimoth Rock, and many earlier European sea captains from various ports... who were merchants transporting metals.... And even some known templar knights who lived in Wales and England, found through my genealogy. More recently I have also recalled having experienced tearful,moments (for no apparent reason ) when driving on the highway near Hunter Mountain during a torrential flooding rainstorm 10 years ago.... And then also having similar soulful, (and rather inconsolable) tears of fear and sadness while driving the Eastern coastline of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia in 2005.At that time I was not fully aware of my numerous genealogical ties to known early American settlers. This book made me wonder more about more of the history yet unknown of my ancestors in these areas, who may have walked these lands and met tragic endings.... And, for those of you mostly interested in the Oak Island "money pit," that is only a peripheral aspect of her story, touching on who built it, to hold what, but nothing about how it works or how to reach the prize.
