I wish I could give this ten stars. I foster kittens and currently have two adults and a teen cat in my house (my three) and one adult and five kittens in my sunroom (fosters). This door is being put to the test here, with everyone clawing it, climbing on it, leaning hard against it, etc. It hasn’t had a single issue. The mesh is strong and the adhesive around the door frame is strong. It wasn’t hard to put up and I can unvelcro it when this batch of kitties moves on and I have an open house again. But in the meantime, they get lots of social time even when I’m in the next room, and it also means the airflow is better in the house because I can leave the door open. I buy so much cat stuff and this is way up on top of the list of best twenty bucks I ever spent. So good!

Until quite recently, I had three cats; ages 8, 6, and 5. I adopted my new senior, Vanilla, in March. Vanilla has lived in a home with dogs, but never other cats. I knew this would be an adjustment for her, so I set her up in my bedroom.Well, time passed and she was not warming up to my other cats. This is not a surprise, as I have some very interesting characters. I purchased this in hopes that she would warm up to venturing out of her room alone, as well familiarize herself better with my younger cats.I was a bit worried for a few reasons. 1) my older cat (8) is very smart. 2) my middle cat is very... Food motivated and lithe. And 3) my youngest is very strong. Pet gates have failed in the past to keep these three rascals at bay, specifically the young one. He doesn't jump so much as he does pull ups on his cat trees 😳 he's also the most likely to annoy my old lady!Installation was easy. I had surgery recently and was unable to reach my arms above my head. As such, a friend helped me with securing the top of the door frame. The Velcro is very strong, as well as the tape (sticky side? Idk). I have faith that it would have held, however, given my cats, I wanted to make sure. So we used a hammer to install pins on the sides and top.The bottom was a tight fit, which I knew it would be due to the door frame. We had to get creative. We used the available strip to nail it into the carpet and a couple of screws to secure it in the base board. I'm not sure that my fully grown cats could have pushed under, but I sometimes foster little kittens, and didn't want to take the risk.I've had no issue with either cats breaching containment! It's a bit of a hassle to open and walk through, but it's worth it :) vanilla will sit near the door and watch, and sometimes requests to be let out! She's still not huge on the other cats, but let's them know with a hiss or a slap through the mesh. At least she's communicating!I'm not sure if she will ever be full time in gen pop, seeing as my young cat likes to pick on his existing sisters (and they would eat all her senior food...). But with the help of this screen, I'm hoping she will soon feel comfortable enough to explore the entirety of her home :) until then, she has a nice, safe space made just for her!

for the most part this does what it should, but the zipper is kind of pathetic considering what the point of the door is and the amount of times you’ll likely need to go in and out.I’ve been very gentle with the zipper because there are so many reviews for this thing mentioning the zipper breaking, but that hasn’t seemed to matter. Some of the stitching is coming undone on the fabric part that keeps the zip line itself on the screen door & it’s almost impossible to open the door now without a lot of frustration.I don’t think it’s worth the price, otherwise I would order another one and see if it works any better.It also does not measure out to what the measurements claim to be on the box and the listing.

Have ordered multiple items to keep our foster cats out of the bedrooms. These were surprisingly durable and easy to put up. We zip and unzip many times a day...there was a 1" separation in the seam on the bottom but hasn't affected the functionality. Let's the heat in our room and keeps the cats out. I would definitely purchase this item again, works WAY better than ones with magnets if you're trying to keep cats out.

I foster several kittens and need time to prepare their plates of wet food without them climbing onto the counters and stepping into the plates of food or knocking full plates of food onto the floor. This screen looked like a good option to keep them out of the kitchen while I got their food ready.Admittedly, I installed it late at night when I was tired and wasn't at my sharpest. I was thrilled when I got it installed and my foster kittens were on the other side looking in. A couple of them tried to climb it but didn't get very high and thankfully they are very light so they did not pull it down. BUT....when I went to open the zipper so I could step through my newly installed screen door, I realized I installed it upside down! Ugh!It is important to install it correctly or the zipper placement will be awkward when you need to zip and unzip it and the bottom will not be secured to the floor properly.I reluctantly pulled off my newly installed screen and all of my paint came off along with it making the adhesive useless to re-use. Luckily they had an extra strip of the adhesive in the package so I pulled off the old one form the screen (it is stuck together using velcro) and put on the new adhesive strip. I reinstalled the screen door and was so pleased with myself until I realized I installed it upside down AGAIN! Seriously? I pulled off the screen and tried to reinstall it the correct way but the adhesive did not stay up for more than day or two because it was not meant to be pulled off and reinstalled.This screen would not have worked for me long term anyway because the bottom of the screen has a 3-4 inch strip that runs across the doorway that I kept tripping on as I walked in and out of my kitchen. This screen is better for non-high traffic doorways.Also, plan on repainting your doorway when you remove it because it is a very strong adhesive and it will strip all of your paint when you remove it.Hope you learn my lesson and install it right side up!
