MegaGear MG1130 Sony Alpha A7S II, A7R II, A7 II Genuine Leather Camera Half Case and Strap - Dark Brown

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this half case. The quality was superb and it smells like a fresh pair of genuine leather shoes. Every time I shoot I am welcomed with the smell of awesome genuine leather and the feel of quality. Fitment was great as well. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Thick enough that I feel confident it’ll protect from any scratches or small bumps. I like the quick access to the battery slot for swapping out the battery quickly without having to take off the entire case. Came with a leather camera strap as well which is nice although I would still recommend a separately purchased one that’s a little wider and more comfortable. All in all very satisfied for the price paid.

Makes the Sony look like a million bucks.

I really like it because it gives my sony a7 the right amount of grip it was lacking while not adding bulk so it still slips into my camera bag like butter. plus it's real genuine leather unlike the other ones I was looking at.

I very much enjoyed this product. My A7RII has been through several silicone cases and mesh enclosures but I never left any on the camera body 24/7. This is the first addition to my camera that I never take off. It provides decent protection from scratches when traveling and more importantly a bit of extra grip when taking photos. My only gripe with the A7 line is the lack of grip and this product is an functional and stylish solution to that problem. The "leather" has a better feel than expected as well.

This lower case has several problems. First, it doesn't fit tightly around the grip area. This, in itself, would not be a deal breaker at this price. However, the attachment screw is not slotted, making it more difficult to attach and remove. Had to use pliers to remove it. Not good.But the real deal breaker is that the mounting screw outer surface sticks out above the level of the leather base when fully tightened in place. This makes it impossible to attach a bracket or tripod mount. Well, you can attach it, but the camera will be loose to the tripod or bracket.Add to that, a low grade leather finish, less than prefect looking stitching and you have a substandard product. Let's see, you just paid $2k for a camera and you're thinking of putting this thing on it. I think not. I recommend buying the TP half case instead. It is very well made, has a very high quality look, fits very well, and has a slotted mounting screw that you can properly attach a bracket or tripod fitting tightly to. And yes you can easily reach the battery, but, then, that is the only thing this case did OK.I had bought a TP case before, for my A7R. After getting this lousy case in, and returning it, I bought a TP half case for my new A7RII. Both of those cases are great.

This product protects the bottom plate paint from basically peeling off. The paint coating quality on some Sony cameras is an afterthought, this product not only provides protection but also adds substantial grip.

Nachdem an der teuren Original-Sony-Tasche nach relativ kurzer Zeit der Kunststoffverschluß der Klappe die den Zugriff auf das Akkufach der Kamera erlaubt zerbrach, habe ich die MegaGear-Tasche gekauft. Mit den günstigen MegaGear-Produkten hatte ich bisher keine Probkeme. Sony kann sich da eine Scheibe abschneiden.

Pleasing in the hand and to the eye. Very stylish and enhances my grip. Gives your a7 a touch of vintage and class. I hope the leather patinas well.

Ordered this for my Sony Alpha 7II. Please pay close attention before buying, as this case is available for multiple models, but each of them are a little bit different from the others, so buy the appropriate one! For example, don't buy this for the A7 or the A7III, as it might not fit perfectly.I was pleasantly surprised, because I didn't expect to find a matching neck strap in the box, only the case. But it came with one, which is high quality, just like the case itself. It is of genuine leather and fits the camera body perfectly. It doesn't obstruct either the battery, or the memory card door. For those who wrote it does: you bought an inappropriate model. User error.The case adds a little-bit of bulk to the body, just to make slightly better to hold.I can highly recommend it!
