How often do you buy a knife. This one is weighted and has a precision blade. The heft fits in your hand. I can tell it's made to last! Before purchasing, I studied all the reviews and a lot of knives interestingly get bad reviews for rusting or breaking. This brand did not disappoint, and I would not hesitate to buy other knives made by this manufacturer.

This knife is just OK, The knife is not great to hold and cut with. The knife is very sharp but because of the handle not a great knife. I purchased another Dalstong pairing knife as I just did not care for this one. Photos below show the difference and quality.Update*********I am going to give this a 4 Star as the customer service is fantastic! I had a rep reach out to me regarding my comments. This is a great knife. A bit more weight than I had imagined, but the 7-inch blade is amazingly sharp and handles well in a variety of tasks. You're not looking at a cheap knife, but you are looking at a good one. Dalstrong makes a powerful looking knife.

I have been debating buying a Dalstrong knife set for a while now (due to the cost)... and finally went for just 1 knife to start, the 12" carving knife. YIKES, its SHARP!!! and VERY VERY well made, very thick and durable steel blade. We love it, and are also terrified of it at the same time LOL. BE CAREFUL if you buy this, its so sharp it will cut your breath just looking at it.

I couldn’t afford a bunch of knives and I didn’t want to have just a cheap one from Walmart. Some I called the best knife man I know and he said all around these are great!! I use one knife for most things in my kitchen and this is it!
